I liked the story, someone I know read the book and says there's bunch of differences though. I agree that the lesbian stuff quickly gets put off to the side and the story focuses on the spooky shit. I still preferred man in the basement, it felt more mysterious and I liked how there was multiple characters involved with the shit show instead of just one character that stays consistent like in this one though.

I remember the author/artist posting his original sketches and drafts on /ic/ on 4chan several years ago before he even published it.

I feel bad about it because I like the guy, but I've just been this film too many times. And while you have cases where things are overall okay, and you are there mainly for nostalgia like the AVGN. The scale of what's happening reminds me more of a video I saw about QuarterPounder, and that is definitely (almost) the worst case imaginable

Having listened to the whole thing, I am actually impressed at both the author's narrative talent and his raw pessimistic cynicism. He needs to make a character that gets on Reddit's good side immediately. What's he do? Nervous lesbian with a social disorder. Bam. Instant le heckerino protagonist. He needs to get Reddit to immediately hate the villains. What's he do? Straight white Christians. Bam. Instant antagonists. Now he's free to play around with the narrative itself and start making you question who's actually good and who's actually bad. Pure cold-blooded audience savvy. Dude's gonna go far.
 
Honestly I'm sick of this podcast, this is like the third time in a row I've had to hear some gay bullshit in what I'm hoping is a goofy ass creepypasta, it's literally not hard to do, just read some absolute dogshit "scary story " and make fun of it, is that so much to ask
 
I've given up on hunter putting out anything worth watching and Isiah hasn't impressed me with his out put. Plus the cringe takes and the politicasperging. I just want to watch wendi put out a fun video again without it having to be reddit approved.
I'm not watching Creepcast eather, not since the slenderman story, which sucks because that horse bit was legitimately funny.

I'm hoping Meat puts out some decent videos for the Papa Meat channel in October.
I've given up on the Meat Canyon channel entirely.
 
I'm watching the latest Wendigang video about the Giants of Kandhar, etc. and I'm so annoyed. Bro, I know you're not stupid, so why don't you look up how words are pronounced before you start talking?

Like, I try to give Wendi (and other creators) some leeway on lesser known place names that may not be pronounced as spelled, but he's pronouncing Agincourt, as in the Battle of, as AG-nuh-kort.

He also keeps pronouncing cavalry as CAL-vuh-ree (I might have given him a pass on that one because he's a Bible Boy, but I'm still salty about agNUHkort).

It's like Worcestershire. Once you figure out how to pronounce it correctly you're like "woah that was easy!" and then you look at the word again and go "How the fuck do you get that pronunciation from that spelling?" But that alone describes Irish language to an absolute T.

You must not know anyone in the military. The word cavalry (aka soldiers on horseback) is not commonly pronounced the same as the word calvary (aka Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified).

Well I got some cousins in the military stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq in the early 2000s, and they never talked about horses over there. Or even camels really

Did you watch the recent: "I Befriended A Serial Killer" video? It was really high effort, especially for a youtube video. I'd love to see a big-budget series of just stories like this: I Befriended A Serial Killer...

The other bizarro world Pee-Wee's playhouse videos are pretty good too:
The Discord Mod one is probably my favorite though.

This shows he didn't even do base research. Because he didn't mispronounce it in a "french" way. I don't know to explain it but to my ear it sounded like he pronounced it like he thought the word was German or Dutch.

This is just lesbian version of parasite but in the eyes of the home owner (even though in the movie they probably never found out its been a while since I last watched it)
My major problem with it is the editing theyre going oh MY GOAWDDDDDDDDDDDD because of some reveal due to the ghost bitch swapping with the eve chick literally I couldnt hear shit because I was in a crowded area n shit I had noise supression and nearly max volume and I couldnt hear the ghost voice changer
Now if I had to speculate why its about lesbians, I think its to support like the building evidence of how weird this family is or something the wife dont like lesbians and shit while thomas doesnt really care making you feel like its more dsyfunctional ehhh now that I think about it is kinda lame
What does the lesbian other do in the story
Shes gone for like half of it because shes being used as bait and the other is just to fuel is it all in le head n shit
But I was a big fan of the gaslighting sequence until it went into the attic then I was more iffy
Wasnt a big fan of the basement sequence but that closet hiding was pretty dope
Hope they do something silly next im mostly here for laughing at the hosts jokes at the story
 
I am a bit late to the party but I just finished the Jeff the Killer vs. Slenderman story and I think the episode was a great return to their old form. The pantomiming at the end by Hunter was hilarious and it's a shame audio listeners miss out on some hilarious visual gags like Jeff reaching for his "knife".
