Basically yes, around video 7 or 8 I think there's a pretty noticeable jump in quality. The last video is actually pretty good even if the end of the series is kind of dumb.Did the creator magically get better

I know the Tommy Taffy author also made the Feed the Pig/The Black Farm series and that knowledge alone makes me instantly not like his work. Elias Witherow is the author, and he's the embodiment of 15 year old edge lord. They've done a few by the Tommy taffy author and enjoyed all of them I believe.
This was one of those stories where the author should have gone "alright this is a nice note to end it on" instead of trying to protract it out and dispel any sense of mystery. The other example of an author squandering their good idea(s) through meandering is Ben Drowned, that story was surprisingly horrible after the beginning - I'm glad that meat and wendi recognized that this supposed "classic" was actually shit right around the time cleverbot was introduced (meat's goofy voice for that part was one of my favorite Creepcast moments). To make matters worse, I found out that the author decided to actually continue the story through some contrived offshoot in 2020 after a hiatus spanning years... grim."Alright who's not dead? Sound off."
New CreepCast.
Don't forget her getting mad at the chief for chewing her out for not checking the room with the body it because there was a spider and webs on the door knob. Sure she tried to justify it by saying it didn't look like it was used recently, but it really seemed like she didn't want to touch the gross stuff. The female cop being fucking useless and blaming it, and everything else, on sexism is definitely true. And I can buy the whole "yeah we keep getting calls from this house and none of us know why. We check it out cause we have to but nothing ever happens" bit. I also 100% believe the part where the dumb bitch goes into the house alone without back up, despite that being one of the dumbest fucking things you could ever do as an officer. Especially at night as a woman.
Not just noticeable, but an extreme jump in quality (Spooks learned how to make videos with blender). Also the description of the scene followed by a video with the body blurred was way more impactful than his usual format. Not to mention that screaming...Basically yes, around video 7 or 8 I think there's a pretty noticeable jump in quality. FEMALE COPI can sorta believe this story was based on somewhat true stories/events.

What I don't believe, despite it being presented as part of the true pieces of lore used for the story, is the female officer refusing backup before going in because she didn't wanna pull anyone away from a DUI crash. Unless that DUI was an all-hands situation, refusing backup was some top tier "I'm a strong independent woman who don't need no man" shit. This is how cops get ambushed with a shotgun to the head. Or raped then killed in her case. Very retarded main character.
The story itself was just boring. The mystery wasn't particularly interesting because "unexplained calls from what should be an abounded house" is strangely bottom of the barrel for spooky shit a cop might encounter. But the ending turned it from "forgettable and inoffensive" to "I hope everyone in this story dies".
Tommy Taffy/Urban Spook is the closest they got, oddly enough.
The comments really make me happy, well once you short through all the "eat me like a bug while I creep my cast" comments anyway. I know they have a big reddit following but people are not having this nonsense and are tearing the story apart. It's a very typical woman author thing. Comments sum it up best:

I'm planning on doing an re-listen of the entire podcast over the Christmas break once I finish my exams. I haven't rewatched the earliest episodes in a while so I'm looking forward to it. Not looking forward to the discovery a literal rape factory in Borrasca Pt. 2 howeverDecided to do a complete(-ish) relisten of CreepCast while they're on break(-ish). Had a super long day at work today so I managed to get through both episodes of Borrasca and after listening to them go over some of Klingel's other work the way Meat accurately guesses multiple plot beats after basically every single line of exposition is extremely funny (on top of all the improv they do with Kyle). Definitely worth a re-listen after hearing some of her other stories if it's been a while since you've been through it
I mean, isn't that Creepcast already?I'm 30 minutes in and they've only spoken like a single paragraph from the story. It's just been a hypothetical of if Goon would shoot Hunter, if Hunter had a farm and his tractor fell on him and squashed his cock & balls and asshole like a bug.
This has been more entertaining than any of the stories. A regular podcast that occasionally dipped into creepypasta would be killer.
I really liked it, the banter was fun and the stories were good.
It was one sentence in before things derailed into run over by tractor mercy killing hypothetical cry bullying. It was such a fucking disaster that it was art.I just started listening once I got to work this morning. I'm not even sure they got a paragraph in lol, I think it was just the title and Meat was like "God I wish that was me" and then they went on that tangent. I think it might top the bug rant, I had to brace myself in a doorway because I was laughing too hard, I thought I might have to stop listening until I got home
