I want Meat Meat's political opinions to remain an enigma. I want every time I see him to confound me because it contradicts what he said the last time in some unforeseen way so that no matter what he says, I take it as a joke. If politics come up, I want him to ham up ridiculous opinions that don't align with anyone's expectations.

Because Meat Meat is funny man and I don't want funny man opinion on funny business.

Yeah, his 'political' rant in the 'I keep getting called to the same house' episode is one of my favorite bits he's done. I don't know how many times I'd heard it before finally watching that part but when he starts singing Amazing Grace after accidentally saying 9/11 after trying to read '911' is one of the best visual gags creepcast has done imo (if you haven't seen it they put up a bunch of fanart of MLP/Sonic the Hedgehog/other autism magnet fandoms characters dressed up in firefighter and police uniforms in front of the collapsing towers)

The unfortunate reality of today's world, and especially social media, is youre going to eventually be forced to choose one side or the other. I think it's 10x worse for people who stream, because they necessarily must interact with their audience, who often times are filled with leftist/trannies/you name it. I see it happen over and over again, and of course no youtuber is going to risk their career saying YWNBAW to chat. Even if they ignore it, their chats and comments will inevitably be filled with pride/trans flags and calls for him or her to say trans rights or f israel or whatever the flavor of the day is. If you are not explicitely anti leftist, you will be constantly and increasingly pressured to conform to leftist dogma. To say nothing is to side with the enemy. After all, silence is violence.

Then again, some people are very stubborn and will obstinately refuse to take a side. My hope is that Meat at least tries to stay this way.

He seemed to already have wanted to cave in the first few seconds of the clip I shared. He stumbled over himself saying basically nothing before capping it off with "who cares man?"
He should have started with "who cares?" and ended it there too.

I imagine now Wendigoon is also going to get hounded for his take/response. Wendigoon seems to be more thoughtful and level headed before he says shit. Definitely won't sperg about Excalibur or some shit and roar like a fucking autist anyway.

Eh; the H3H3 fandom isn't all that powerful/ain't what they once were (they were a cancelation powerhouse circa 2020 - at the height of Frenemies. Those days are long since gone). Hence, why Hasan & his merry band of pro-9/11 tankie friends are still going strong.

But I do think Papa Meat would be making a huge mistake if he pivoted to making generic lefty political statements in his content/going on about "Palestine/"muh settler colonialism". Not only would it not seem genuine, it'd be obvious he was only turning to politics for that sweet sweet culture war grift money. Which would be especially egregious & greedy, since Papa Meat is never not shilling his ugly overpriced merch/gamersupp collabs (drink and instant noodle cups).

Weirdly, I always thought Papa Meat was a conservative Evangelical (since he's from Kansas City, owns a farm, is friends with Wendigoon, & most notably - is a metalhead. IDK, metal heads I find are usually based af when it comes to their political leanings). Him siding with Hasan is now making me give him a serious side-eye.

It's sort of like Jon Tron in a sense. His Halloween/spooky scary videos are his best in my opinion. Sure he's good talking about other things but the creepy/spooky shit is a slam dunk. (last 2 Halloweens not included)

Every once in awhile his lefty side bubbles to the surface, and there's going to be a time when he can't take that pot off the burner quick enough and it's gonna boil over and alienate a huge chunk of his fanbase.
Give me statues for it, but this was a much happier country, and a much happier internet, when "liberal" was a dirty word.

I'd argue his cartoon artstyle is too hideous/gross to pivot to Freedom Toons-style political content.

I remember thinking Meat was aping JT's style when he did the Goosebumps video. Which, let me be clear, I don't think is a bad thing per se. If JT can't be assed to make a video more than every 3-7 months or whatever then fuck it, people are going to fill the niche (just look at all the fucking stick figure channels since Sam O'Nella's departure). If he's talking about the video I think he's talking about it was just JD Vance trying to cheer up a crying baby via peek-a-boo but every time he showed his face it was a different meme edit of his face (in Meat's art style). I thought it was hilarious

Then RFK Jr showed up to help, his impression of that was hilarious too. Then a third person showed up. I didn't recognize them but assumed it was Musk. That one I didn't care for because it just seemed inaccurate and mean spirited and he wanted to shit on him but didn't actually have anything to say, but it ended up being someone else, I think Charlie Kirk. Once I found out that's who it was, assuming the gags he did were halfway accurate, that was pretty funny too

Didn't really have any political message, and was easy enough to just call it a bit of light ribbing for some famous people in the spotlight atm

There's actually a really good newish Youtube creator making Goosebumps/Are You Afraid of the Dark/Haunting Hour review videos named Kingnusmi. He's worth checking out if that's your jam.

I'm aware of Kingnusmi, and he's alright, but he doesn't have the same edge. I like JB's Spooky Review. He does stuff like X Files, Tales From the Crypt, Dr Who, and even Kolchak. JB did videos on the Simpsons Tree House of Horror doesn't shy away from saying the newer ones suck ass.

This is one of the worst things he did, a full on "this is your brain on Reddit". Basically taking autistic spergs who use an over the counter medicine compulsively as "proof" it is addictive. No fucking shit you start damaging yourself at some point from this behavior. There's nothing surprising here, and taking a drug for more than a week rather than going to a doctor is absolutely retarded. Ditto trying to equate quitting the drug use with going cold turkey.

It's the same line of thought as needing to label video games for addiction.

Admittedly I'm not the average case but I've been using oxymetazoline daily for about 20 years now. I was able to come off of it for about a year, year and a half following a surgery but unfortunately that surgery doesn't tend to have particularly long lasting effects

Basically the entire time I've used it it's been common knowledge that it tends to make congestion worse in the long run, if it's not just printed directly on the box.

Haven't watched the video yet but was there a cover-up over that fact when Afrin was new or something?

Got through the Afrin video. Wasn't really anything I didn't know aside from the fact that there's apparently only one medically documented 20 year user and she's in outpatient rehab for it lol. It also went into the surgery that I had, but I was just born with thicc meaty turbinates rather than developing them as a result of oxymetazoline. Mine were so overdeveloped that when I got an xray of my head for dental surgery the doctor saw them and just started laughing. As mentioned, I've been on it for about 20 years, and I guess I'm an admitted addict. I used to joke about it to the point that my friends in highschool had a euphemism for it that was less embarrassing for me to say when I ran out and needed to stop at a store or gas station. My alternative is continue taking it or become a mouthbreather (or I guess get surgery again) though, I didn't breathe through my nose a day in my life until I started taking it when I was 14-15

I have... One bottle in my truck, my suv, my bedroom, here at my desk, and I think two spares. I did used to carry a bottle in my pocket but now I'm a Sinex chad rather than an Afrin chump. It seems to last a lot longer than Afrin/generics so I don't feel the need to have it on me every second of the day, though by the number of places I have it stashed obviously I like to have it nearby



As casually as I use oxymetazoline I will say the Neo-Synephrine/phenylephrine that he started the video off with is way too intense and I don't think anyone should use that ever. The people who were described as using every 15 minutes or so, that's probably what they were using. The rebound congestion on it is insane, after about two days I'm in the camp of using it frequently, every hour or two, and it's the only thing that works anymore, oxymetazoline and pseudoephedrine don't even put a dent in the congestion, and by the third day it's multiple times per hour. It's gnarly and you just have to suffer though the suffocation for days before anything else will work at all. This probably makes me sound like a prescription painkiller addict who says "Yeah but at least I don't use fentanyl or heroin like the real junkies"

I’ll make my one thread derailing comment with MeatCanyon. The guy paints his fingernails and has always came off to me as a 2010 lefty. I don’t think he is super political or really married to any opinion beyond that
