It's one of the reading experiences of all time. This is a very mild page. Some are at weird angles, some are printed backwards, there's pages written in braille and musical notation. There's multiple stories running concurrently, and by that I don't mean there's stories being woven together so that they can all come together in a satisfying way at the end, I mean there's multiple independent stories by different authors (within the context of the book) slapped onto the pages at random with multiple pages/chapters between paragraphs for a given story. It's not something you can really just sit down and relax and read, it's a very involved experience, you're going to be flipping the book around, going to the bathroom to hold the book up to the mirror, translating braille and musical notation. You'll probably want to take notes to try and make sense of the different stories going on. I think it's probably awesome but I haven't been able to get through it, it requires a certain mood and it's been a long time since I've been in the right mood to make progressthe government keeps psyoping me to read house of leaves
so I just ordered it so they'll finally leave me alone
if it sucks it's goon's fault

This might be more correct than you realized. One of the 'authors' is a blind guy who sealed his apartment shut so as to seal in his stank because smell was the only one of his senses that he felt he could trust while he was writing his story. (first 20 pages or so spoilers)I'm planning on reading this on my work breaks
I'm sure that's how the author envisioned it, siting in a shitty chair while the Indian guy stinks up the place with his lunch
Wow, that sounds fucking awful.[Snip but a very good explanation of the process of reading House of Leaves]
FUCK, they announced it this summer, but the babe won't be born until winter (likely start of next year). Aw well.A'ight place your bets on when Wendi Jr. will be born. I'm gonna say summer 2025 if they don't believe in using contraceptives.
I finished it a week or two ago. I had mixed feelings. There are portions that are genuinely incredible and made me uneasy despite having seen the type of horror in the book being done before...and then there's parts that made me want to DNF and just read something elsethe government keeps psyoping me to read house of leaves
so I just ordered it so they'll finally leave me alone

Is this the serial killer pony one?Interesting thumbnail. Also another shorter episode.
Yeah, I've heard of it but I don't think I know anything about it besides killer pony, I'm hoping for something Jeff the Killer tier. They were going over the info page for the story and apparently the most famous version of the story is a rewrite whereas they're going over the original. So that doesn't really mean anything to me but for anyone familiar with it it might be different than they rememberIs this the serial killer pony one?
That one was a goldmine of cringe.
The story had a pelt made of pony marks it was sooo fucking autistic.Yeah, I've heard of it but I don't think I know anything about it besides killer pony, I'm hoping for something Jeff the Killer tier. I do vaguely remember a series of animations with a killer pony with a murder shed but I don't think it's related to this. Actually, found them pretty easily, only one was about the shed but it was a series with a parody of each of the main characters. Hotdiggedydemon was the animator
Oh wait I can just embed instead of a pic of the thumbnail lol
Haven't listened to the episode yet, but looked up Cupcakes...explains a lot about Bronies.Peak episode, I’m honestly in disbelief that Hunter doesn’t know shit about either MLP or Cupcakes. I was breaking down laughing at his constant screaming.
Either way, damn bro I remember when Cupcakes was big, how it started the grimdark obsession of the Bronies, all the fanfics of Cupcakes itself, truly one of the most influential pieces of literature in modern memory.
