I wish they would do some non-internet readings on creepcast. It feels like after MHE they've been kinda scraping the bottom of the barrel. Would be neat to see them read something like The House On The Borderland.

I got curious and wondered whatever happened to Red Thread. Apparently they have the faggot CCP dicksucker FriendlyJordies hosting it now? No wonder Wendi never mentions it anymore.

New Weird Bible
And five episodes of History Unhinged in the tank as well, nice. Last I checked there wasn't a Lore Lodge thread but History Unhinged is a pretty fun podcast, it's the Aidens from LL and the guest from this episode (Steven Bell, History of Everything) just going on weird history-adjacent tangents for about an hour. Started off kinda rough but once you're past the episodes with Roman Helmet Guy it's pretty solid. No shade to Roman Helmet Guy, I don't know anything about him, but his mic was scuffed in every episode he was in so he didn't get much of a chance to shine

Just starting the episode so I don't know how Steven and Wendi get along but having Wendi on for an Alphabet Agency special of History Unhinged would probably be fun (Steven immediately sounds like he's dying so probably not the best first test lol)

the government keeps psyoping me to read house of leaves
so I just ordered it so they'll finally leave me alone
if it sucks it's goon's fault
I'm like 300 pages into this book now
And for a while, there's a small mystery where a guy meets a girl who says they met in Texas
But he's never been to Texas ooooooh!!!!
it turns out he met her at a guy named Tex's place..........
I really like this book, but I might have to burn it after I'm done

The misery porn is too much, IMHO. This is the type of shit real 12-year-olds would write on Creepypasta.com, as a prelude to their violent revenge fantasies starring their Jeff the Killer / Slenderman proxy OC. It's cringe when they do it, and it's doubly so when it's a twenty-something english major clearly trying to make something grounded and serious. There are better, more mature ways of making this kid's life a living hell, that he'd start to believe whatever the dead tell him.

All this just makes me hate everyone involved as well. Like what kind of dying mother would willingly put her children through half the shit she does? Why not just pawn the kids off to a grandparent or even the foster system and off herself if she was so miserable, than try to keep at whatever she's doing? Why hasn't the school called CPS on the family when one of its students stopped showing up for classes, and taken them out of what is clearly a very unstable household? How are they managing to stay alive, and un-evicted, if nobody in the house is paying the mortgage, buying the food, etc.?

Pacing-wise, maybe I don't have patience or what, but it does feel like it generally drags on for an uncomfortable amount of time. It's the opposite of what the other story suffered from—there it was a short story that should have been longer, and here it's a long story that would fare better as something short, punchy, and trimmed down to 1-2 posts max.

You know, I would kill for an Elias Witherow grab bag right about now. Feels like we've had a lot of mid recently. Somehow an MLP creepypasta is peak cinema... I think we need to dial it back to something safe and good. There's gotta be something popular they still haven't covered.

Godzilla NES? It might be shit but that could make it better.

I get where you're coming from, but as soon as I heard "fairy tale" in the story, I stopped looking at it as a realistic story and just simply as a fairy tale, so I can't really apply real world sense to this one. Haven't finished it yet, saving the rest for work tomorrow, I'm only about like 45 minutes in or so though.
