Tried listening to the interview with the Penpal author and had to tap out. Between the three of them, they said "like" more than any parody of valley girls you can imagine. Like it was, like, pretty crazy, yknow? Like every other word, or like close to it, was like. It's hard to like, believe or whatever yknow, that like, people are this poorly spoken in like, an actual conversation.

I was thinking the other day how it's weird they never covered Smile Dog. I remember this one being as big as Jeff the Killer back in the day, though IIRC it's neither very long or very good.

I hope this isn't just a one-off and they cover some more of the classics for a while instead of "Mid reddit slop #4210".

He's actually got a band called Cask. It's like Gothic power metal with some symphonic vibes. Vocals(Hunter) are about what you'd expect from the genre and himself. Dramatic ballad style vocals and gritty, more usual metal vocals.
It's.. not bad? Not necessarily my style of rock but he's got a good voice and the production on the tracks is actually pretty damn good considering its all likely self produced.

The EP is called Brick By Brick. Can find them on Spotify. They've only got the one EP and handful of singles.

I was beginning to think the singing bit was going on too long. But when Hunter dropped "He wrote that because they uhh discontinued Yoo-Hoo... just kidding it was because Martin Luther King died" he brought me right back.

Fat man does have a beautiful singing voice though.
