This is the guy who does the music and backgrounds (and the intro animation). He streams animating the backgrounds sometimes so he's in the clear there. I like a lot of his music too, the full creepcast intro song is great. I've been trying to find the music they've used since the Stairs in the Woods revisit but unfortunately doesn't seem like it's been posted anywhere yet

A defense for AI art that you often hear is that Art is hard. You do not deserve to make art, nobody deserves to make art. It is a skill that needs to be aquired and strifed for it's something you earned not something your entaitled to. No one has ever found it easy to make art sure some are more inclined then others but regarldess its still years of practice and honing skills. To think that you can acess it without that is dumb down the concept of art as a whole.

You should be a real artist like all the animation studios that draw concept art and then ship the actual animation work off to North Koreans pretending to be South Koreans in sweatshops to fund dear leader's missiles flying over Japan. Really though some of the most "ethical" use of AI in art I've seen is Emily Youcis. She hand draws master frames and then uses AI to make it move and add backgrounds and voices. I think there are some good uses for it and the argument weakens if someone is doing extra work and fine tuning by hand. It's stupid to dismiss the tech as a whole. MeatCanyon just copies existing properties and makes them do gross stuff and look ugly with a team of animators. If I'm being bitchy, I could say what he's doing is kind of close to what most people do with AI except he pays third worlders and trannies for it.

Even they sometimes confuse the prompt and produce some wonky results. This bit from Dexter's lab is a good one. The audience is supposed to be cheering, but the animators thought they were in a flying pose so they made them take off instead.
The showrunners decided to roll with it and keep it in.

Igorrr has a music video does something similar, making key frames and having the AI animate it.
It is a cool tool, especially when paired with other mediums to make up for it's weaknesses.
 
Decided to check out Wendiglitch last night on a whim. I loaded up his playthrough of Angel Engine to see how much of a homo he would be about it. That donkey-lipped faggot had the gall to speak about the artist of the original analog horror with the words "I don't like to think he's beyond redemption." I haven't had someone make me so kneejerk mad at the internet in years.
 
I wanna give ice berg boy a break slightly, I dont think his Ai sperging is "going with the flow" and more just his applacian autism taking over. I do agree with his points that commissioned art was massively better for angel engine when it did use it, and it did feel like he had a script before hand that he didn't touch up at all post interview. its a hard thing to see as you dont want to make it seem like you are "pay for play" and will let you getting an interview change shit about your presentation, but not clarifying that the movement wasn't ai was a weakspot for me for sure.
I really did like angel engine from what wendigoon described though, the asthetics of it along with being a unique take on religious symbolism rather than just "Bro, Christianity is le bad because my parents bro". I prefer it to shit like the Mandela Catalog as it feels genuinely inspired unlike Alex's "authors blatantly not so hidden fetish" horror coal

not to be the whole "not very Christian of you" as someone who's not religous, but isn't the whole point for that if anyone admits their fault they can be redeemed unless their some pedophile or Jim Jones type person? like, is windigoons really putting this shit on that same level, like OFC someone who makes AI sloppa isn't someone who should be stoned on the internet and shamed from public work.
I find it funny that despite him accurately describing Uncle T as a weird proto-incel he is slowly inching towards his takes on tech when it comes to AI

But he gives Ready or Not a break even though those devs use a lot of AI generated assets and refuse to disclose it. During his lets play when he was getting close up to posters and brochures trying to get lore and world building and he wasn't "muh AI, muh artist's intent, I can't tell what is intentional or AI hallucination" with them even though the devs use AI a lot for the background stuff. His autism is simply he likes Ready or Not, so he doesn't even fuss about it. Angel Engine was already getting heat, so it was easy for him to dogpile them like with UrbanSpook and win brownie points with the people he likes.

Wendi is preaching forgiveness and redemption to a man who did literally nothing wrong. He is acting like a sanctimonious asshole by acting like he has committed a sin against God when all he did was offend Wendi and Co's feelings.

I am curious of he will show "grace" to Meat's thumbnail guy or shitcan him for committing art heresy.

His "I don't think he's irredeemable" comment were insanely cringe. Again I'm not a huge Ai Art guy but I don't consider people who use it to be morally deficient.
 
Wendi really let his tism over AI spiral into some weird puritanical, personal issue with the creator and essentially anyone who uses AI at all by extension. He can't be this spergy about one instance of it, and be fine with the countless others he's never bitched about without coming across as blatantly biased and cliquey.
And he'll just look like a massive retard when he inevitably gets fooled by something that's AI without clocking it.

I just went to check out the video. Yeah that part is so stupid. But at the end he's all I wanted there to be more lore dumps and that he hopes the game doesn't require him to have to engage with the original series. If you are the against AI why even play something related to an AI series?! (Pushing me even more into the some behind the scenes deal happened for Wendi to talk about this game.)

Others have talked about this point but I want to put my two cents in. It's the implications that phrase carries.

Like if Mia Kalifa was a parishoner at your church and your aunt started saying she shouldn't be allowed to be there due to her being an ex-pornstar at the family lunch. Then you'd hit her with that line and smirk at her.
Because you have now:
  • Defended a fellow christian.
  • Implied that your aunt isn't a good christian.
  • Loudly asserted yourself as more godly than your aunt.

Except this time not only is the "sin" not even a "sin" but Wendi is the person being an asshole about it!!
 
It was good I liked this one. Kind of like Burgrr entries but more sad than disgusting. A character study and pseudo-allegory vs. the craziest and most disgusting idea you can think of raised up to 11 and carried the whole way through.

Am I crazy for not getting the sexual vibe Wendigoon was getting from it? Hunter's addiction/eating disorder suggestion, that I can see, but I wasn't getting Isiah's sex thing at all.

I think it can go either way. Both stem from intrusive thoughts, both bring about feelings of euphoria and subsequent shame once that wears off. And both can be addicting despite that stigma. I cannot tell you why Isaiah immediately thought of it like that, however.

E: Joking aside vs. Hunter he's probably had more experience with repressed sexual urges compared to wanting to gorge yourself or eat crayons or whatever.

Art is a hobby people do for fun. Some turn it into a career. Just like pottery, photography, writing. Art isn't meant to be hard; it's a creative outlet that you should do even if you don't get paid. There's this gen z trend about how you only do hobbies that you can financially benefit from. Even the degeneracy that is financial domination has been reduced to a tag thots add to their IG and Twitch bio in hopes someone pays them $25 in exchange for "you piggy :)".
