Wendigoon Thread

I really wish he would just focus on shit he actually knows something about or at the very least get script writers to add notes for pronunciation so he doesn't sound like a jackass.
Better yet, don't needlessly add Korean words for flavor or whatever. Also I have never heard about the rumor that that they got the idea for Starcraft from a failed Star Wars game, people usually speculate that it is a failed Warhammer game or Blizzard simply takes a lot of "inspiration" from GW. I legit think that his researchers are using AI, because that seems seem like a mix up an AI would make.

I already talked about the Chinese battle in California.
The SMS Emden would be another good one. At the start of WW1 the German navy tasked a light cruiser, SMS Emden, with commerce raiding in the Indian ocean to tie up Entant shipping while the rest of the navy focuses their effort elsewhere. During a span of two months they were one of the most prolific pirates in history that brought shipping in the region to a near halt. They were responsible for capturing two dozen ships and conducting a surprise raid on a harbor by building a fake smokestack so their ship profile matches that of a British ship in the area allowing them to get close before sinking a french and Russian cruiser and destroyer. They were eventually stopped after a passing ANZAC fleet dispatched a battleship, HMAS Sydney, to respond to a distress call from a radio station at Cocos Islands. There it engaged Emden and eventually damaged it and ran it aground where the surviving crew onboard surrendered and were taken as POWs ending the Emden's reign of terror on shipping in the region. However, while the Sydney left with the crew of the Emden, they never recovered the landing party that was attacking the radio station. Those guys bailed when it was clear the Emden wasn't going to make it highjacked a small boat made their way to the Ottoman empire and eventually back to Germany, their story could be a video in of itself.

If wendigoon hired you to chose topics for the second channel, what would YOU🫵 pick?
Hm. So a subject that's interesting, a tiny bit edgy, but has already been covered a ton of places so research is easy?

Indian vulture crisis.

NSAID diclofenac is deadly to Old World vultures. Used in cattle in India, vultures eat the bodies and die. Not enough vultures around to eat dead cattle, or to eat dead humans. Feral dogs pick up the corpse-eating slack, population booms, rabies spreads easily. Feral dogs are mammals, unlike vultures, so other pathogens spread when previously the human->avian route was a no-go.

FYI New World vultures aren't sensitive to diclofenac so it's cool if you put Voltaren gel on your knees before you go for a solo hike in Death Valley.

The only thing wrong with this subject is there isn't enough to mispronounce, although you could throw in some Indian place names.

One of the StarCraft devs himself admitted it was a Warhammer thing. His researchers are either retarded or using AI without even a quick glance at their "work" outside of inserting jokes and references to themselves. When I watched the Kickstarter video, I couldn't believe he was saying it took two writers to script that. How? The whole video felt like a kid learning to write and pad out the page count for a school essay with constant looping back around and recapping.

It is 100% AI. A lot of mistakes can be explained by retardation and laziness of just sloppily copy and pasting from Wikipedia and Reddit threads. But mixing up Warhammer with Star Wars then make a statement that Lucasfilms denies that it approached Blizzard has to be an AI hallucination because I have no idea where even the most hack researcher would get that info.

Maybe a year ago I'd agree, but modern AI is way less prone to those hallucinations, especially with something infamous as the 40k StarCraft game theory. It's just Dunning Kruger morons.

The decline in Wendigoon's content is an interesting microcosm of the downfall of legacy media. We had a talented guy slowly go from consistently good content into barely any content (and what there is being mediocre quality), while associating with bootlickers and degenerates, whoring his brand, and slowly going more and more political.

I can agree with the fist part because Fuck hunter in his quivering man pussy.
I've yet to see the second part.
I know I've said this before but the only way I see his politics harming him is if they are far less reddit than expected.

Edit: or maybe there is another way he could lose it all.
