Wendigoon Thread

  • The Kiwi Farms was targeted with a historic DDoS attack last week. Confirmed reports of 2.8Tbps on an individual provider, topping 4.8Tbps when known volumes are added together, and possibly up to 8Tbps if the attacker is believed. This is the third of fourth largest recorded.

Focusing on the adults was a big mistake. Kids going along with these weird rules is at least believable if they have no other frame of reference. But how do you write adults, relatively logical adults, who have also grown up in this town in the same way? I dunno, and clearly the author didn't either. Every character keeps nudging you on the arm and re-assering that they know none of this is normal but how could they, if they've lived here all their lives? It's very sitcom-esque, but it's just plain not funny.

Since you saw the video:

Did he every claim that Timmothy is with a cult?

Now call me NickCrowley's #1 Glazer but as I read your recap I was all, "wait a minute Nick Crowley covered this one before." Went to check and sure enough the way you described the video it sounds a lot like Theory #3 in Nick's video on the subject six years ago.

I didn't get to watch the video so I can't compare them.

Maybe Wendi will cover Blood Over Inent next? Or maybe Tomorrow's Pioneers? (Nick's very own lost media!)
NickCrowley is one those people I get sick of really quick. Good videos for most part but they all feel samey at somepoint

Exactly, especially when apperantly it's near impossible to get out of the town. The whole mechanics are arbitrary, there are all kind of mythological creatures living in the hotel, are they also hiding away from the parade? Can they leave at will? Is it a world between worlds kind of thing, or do those creatures also exist in our world? What are the respawn mechanics? If you suffered a fate worse than death does dying puts you in the same position? How does the town still function with infinitely increasing population and no outside contact? How does anyone know the rules?

Maybe it would have worked as a video game but as short stories it's a mishmash of ideas.

The moment it's clear there's no plan is the "oh that apartment complex is currently experiencing a time loop". As if it's a totally normal event.

How can you talk about a real tragedy on a show explicitly about shooting the shit while reading creepypastas?

Further, what other IRL creepypasta adjacent stuff has happened other than the slenderman stabbing?

Also, did Wendigang's team make the write-up? Very slop-coded.

E: so far it's alright though

There's a Jeff the Killer killer too(edit: looks like playback is disabled but it's EWU covering it)
Totally forgot about that one lmao

I'm not hopeful for this, the Marble Hornets was the only Creep TV series that I didn't enjoy (I didn't make it through the first episode because I found it so dull). They also might not want to make jokes because it's something real.

They really should have at least covered the Slenderman's Mansion creepypasta that inspired the stabbing for some levity. It's so, so bad, I lost my shit listening to another channel covering it. I think it would be the worst thing they've ever covered, at least on a technical level, it would be a great good-bad episode

Why?
You can't have a shitty "fAiRy QuEeN" segment in a true crime podcast because it would be in such poor taste.
Hunter might as well just eat cheese the whole time.
I'm halfway through listening to it and the way they're going off on tangents about horse girls, Hunter's wife drawing furry porn, and Wendi being hurt about his dad not caring about creepypasta, a fairy queen segment wouldn't be too out of place.

This dosen't fit at all, there audience is redditards but I don't see this ending well for them From the people who got triggered by too much adult rape in there creepypasta.

The comments are hilarious, turns out their redditor audience is not happy about them turning a real event into a creepypasta like story, they even read it with silly voices like its a pasta 10/10 hilarity just for the ass hurt it causes alone. I saw one comment actually get mad because isiah didn't include any "sources" when reading the crime turned pasta.
God I can't wait for their Columbine video where they cosplay as Eric and Dylan.
I would start donating to their patreon if this happened

Randy Stairs and his Danny Phantom obsession and the MLP shooter are the only other ones I can think of where people kill over fiction.

Why? Wendi covers true crime stuff all the time on his channels and Meat occasionally dabbles with it on his too. Plus the slender man stabbings is relatively tame subject as girl lives and makes a full recovery. I agree it doesn't fit their channel (as if Wendi needs a 3rd channel to talk overdone true crime), but I doubt their fan base will be clutching pearls about it.

In recent memory there was a guy who killed a bunch of his family members over making choices he didn't like in The Walking Dead video game.

Edit, I'm retarded and somehow linked to the fallenchungus thread even though I know for certain I clicked the right link.

Be sure to thank your local archiver, because his video manifesto was seemingly scrubbed from every other platform but here.

Creep Cast on the Slenderman stabbings, they’re a true crime podcast now

Imagine getting stabbed nearly to death over a stupid Internet creepypasta and miraculously surviving the incident, just to see years later a fat degenerate retard and a Christian larper gawk at your tragedy and make money off it while joking about pornography and stupid shit.

There's not a chance in Hell whatever minimum wage monkeys Wendi and Meat employ didn't slap this whole script together in ChatGPT or Grok or whatever. Not a damn thing you can say or do will convince me otherwise.
It's a pretty open secret that their script writers crank shit out using GPT. Meat's mosh pit video and Wendi's esport video made it painfully obvious.

Creepcast isn't true crime, it's creepypasta and internet horror stories generally. Plus that audience is made of pussies as I mention before.
