Or having the girl be treated like a perpetual victim. IIRC, I remember in a red thread epiaode wendi talked about how he got an email from a victim of one of his true crime episodes (I think maybe a kid from the ant hill cult) because he talked about her like she was going to be a permanent wreck due to the ordeal when she grew past it and lived a normal life. The stabbings happened 12 years ago the girl is in her mid 20s now and has a life beyond getting stabbed by tween schizos.

I just can't see meat canyon's retarded ass being respectful about a near murder case, again it's not what the show is about and it's not what the audience wants from them.

I don't wish for my post to come across as treating her as a perpetual victim, my disgust more comes from how trashy and bad taste it is, it reminds me of those shitty true crime channels where it's some lady doing her makeup as she describes someone getting horribly murdered/tortured, it's just really gross. There's nothing wrong with talking about true crime stuff of course but at least have some taste and respect, but that's a tall order for YouTubers.
 
It just shows how the community around true crime doesn't give a shit for the victims, and it might as well be a creepypasta for them besides the fake occasional "how did it make them feel", like how Urban Spook shows how creepypasta is entirely about shocking events.

The episode could have been a lot worse but hopefully they don't do it again. It would have been fine, good even, as a Wendigoon/Wendigang video since he already covers true crime stuff there, it doesn't need to leak into another of his shows. If they want to do something different honestly just bring back CreepTV, or cover urban legends/cryptid encounters if they want to move into more 'real life' stuff

Definitely felt a lot like Red Thread. My favorite episodes of that were the cryptid ones which I think could work for Creep Cast if they put a bit of effort into turning the first hand accounts into a more story-like format. To use a story that's been covered on both CC and RT already as an example, they could open with the Goatman creepypasta, go over the urban legend and folklore, and then cover some eyewitness encounters. I think that would make for a pretty compelling episode with enough effort put into the script

I think cryptids and aliens would be a fun direction to go. Most cryptids are pretty straightforward so they can be shorter or themed grab bag episodes to act as a palette cleanser from slogs. Wendi can just recycle notes from his defunct iceburg series so a lot of leg work is already done. Some of them can get kind of silly like the alien pancakes encounter, so plenty of riffing material. I can see it being a lot more consistently engaging for Meat than creepypastas where it is a dice roll if he checks out.
