While 100% a correct thing to point out as a true measure of Christian faith (and that lukewarmness in contrast to fervant zeal in other beliefs is unfortunately very common), in terms of self-identification it’s a different story. Thanks to the church shopping trend of very modern Protestantism, one could easily just join a wholly disconnected cult “non-deniminational church” that doesn’t even attempt to hold to a good faith interpretation of the Bible (like that tranny loving “christian” politician in Texas). If Wendi did stray I’d wager it’d be something like that, though I’m personally not so sure we’ll see anything of the sort.
 
Maybe because I never put him on a pedestal as you guys apparently did but I kind of don't give a hit about most of this stuff
He's fucking youtuber the only thing I care about is if the content is good or not, if he ends up trooning out I'm not gonna think it's a betrayal I'm just gonna unsubscribe and watch something else

It’s more like I wanted to see someone wholesome succeed in an industry of degenerate gooners, and now I’m worried that someone who could have been a good wholesome example of content creation will end up making things like the faith look bad in retrospect due to his actions.
It’s one thing to be selling sloppa, but if your early content is literally Bible studies you have put yourself in a position where you represent us Christians to others and that’s a big thing for a lot of people who watched him early on.

While we did have the omen of being friends with Dick Masterson for Rackets, I was personally blindsided by that ordeal; So much so that I wouldn’t put it past any e-celeb (Wendi included) to be involved in some heinous shit behind the scenes. Nonetheless, let’s hope our big-lipped boy is ultimately just a “band-kid humor”, non-confrontational, goody-two-shoes.
 
I'm sorry if I came off as a dick head, I just wanted to share my opinion on the whole thing since I've gotten tired of seeing the same speculation over and over
I guess I just miss when this thread used to be more chill, but that's more on Wendigoon than anyone here, kiwifarms has sort of become the social place I use to talk about games and shows. I sort of forgot it's mainly about lolcows lol

This. I liked Wendi’s early videos because it was a guy talking about stuff he clearly liked. I liked early creep cast because it was a guy showing off his favorite toys to his friend. The more slopified everything becomes, the more critical I see it

I liked it, it was a good story all things concerned. I definitely prefer these types of stories over the nosleep stuff.

I also liked MeatCanyon's weird puppet show thing. It seems a little gay though. Jeff the Killer was funny.

I don't have anything more to say on whether he's a Christian or not because my beliefs on the matter are very out there as is. He isn't. There's not really a debate to it unless you're a Faggot (Catholic or otherwise). It's just such a shame.

As some one who hated Rackets before it was cool.
I don't get the comparsion between them at all. Beyond the surface level similiarty of using chrisitnaty as a reputational shield they have nothing in common.

Rackets was open about degen shit. I remember watching one of his early shows where he first asked his guest if they liked their futas with balls or not and then asked about their favorite bible verse. While he wasn't open with the swingershit it was always very clear that his christiantiy was just to lure in gullible retards. Rackets has always been a a wolf in sheeps clothing that never beleived in anything beyond money.
He also loves drama, he's not afraid of confrontation and he was always involved in messy background deals. He is very narsastic and always believes that he is the smartest person in the room. Rackets is a trustfund brat that hates his parents and was dependant on being a good boy until he got fuck you money from youtube and could go full degenerate. He played the same character for youtube as he did for his parents.

Wendigoon is the opposite. He is extermly scared of confronation, hates drama and is a dumb, very gulliable & genuine person with low self esteem.
I would even say he has selfhatred. As seen in the accounts from a lonely broadcast station creepcast. Where he spends the entire episoe wishing for a character to die that is just like him. Even the redditors in the comments noticed:

I think this is why he let's other people push him around so much and why he adopts traits of whoever is close to him. Its a combination of people pleasing and having a stable sense of who you are. . It's why we are seeing such a rapid shift in his sensiblites and it's why it's gonna get worse as he gets more ties to Hollywood. Wendigoon is "losing" his faith as he loses connection to his roots and adopts other peoples personalites. He is very weak willed and will go along with anything. I think the most likely arc for him in the future depends on his wife and it could potentially be another idubbz situation.
