They're sick of the reddit stories too. I think that's why they've been branching out into more stories from creepypasta.org and the creepypasta wiki. But let's be real, regardless of the site of origin, 99% of these stories are dogshit. Most people aren't really watching for the stories, they're watching for the banter.
I would suggest user submitted stories but then I remember Slush Piles are not fun to sift through; but I guess it really isn't that different than scouring the Internet.

Sadly I think you are right, although the banter was better and more interesting when they would genuinely engage with the story and wasn't just Hunter being a degenerate.

The banter also sucks now because they contact the authors beforehand and have to tiptoe around their feelings. So Meat Canyon goes off on some unrelated tangent like gay farmers having buttsex with eldritch monsters instead of mocking the actual story, all while Wendi stares like a dead fish into the camera and waits for him to finish. The better episodes are where they don't have to pull their punches.

> Punching down Reddior that wholesales takes plot from another work, replaces some tropes and whatever fetishes they have. ⛔
> Punching down a youtube creator that uses 14 milliseconds of AI in a two hour video. ✅

I loved (hated) the constant mentioning of how fit and strong and quick and handsome he was in the proto-isekai
I remember putting down the book at like the fourth paragraph long description of what love is and concluding that Hodgeson was actually autistic. I think it was the first time I ever felt that about an author based on their prose alone without knowing anything about them. I'd say he must have been a very interesting person to know when he was alive.

Wendi has already done that, although I don't remember if it was a verbatim readthrough or a summary.
He only did the first four stories in it, and actually read a good amount more than just summarizing large swaths like he usually does, but the whole thing felt like just an excuse to gush about True Detective. Which likely it what half the episode would be about if they covered it on Creepcast as well.

I get it for some people who don't state their gender and don't post their image or voice because they want to be as anonymous as possible, but the Stygian Sagas guy has videos where he speaks.

Dear Sneeder quote tweeted Wendi regarding a plan to destroy a rare grove of American Chestnut trees.

Interestingly they’d probably clash over most things including AI and data centers in general but preserving some of heritage America matters to both.
This is totally out of pocket, but I used to do carpentry and in class we were to make a miniature furniture model based on a piece of art for design class. I chose a Wadsworth Longfellow poem, and it had a mention of a chestnut tree so I was like ‘oh I’ll get some chestnut wood’ before I realized that it doesn’t fucking exist. I ended up ebonizing some ash for it, but it was really surprising to me that the American Chestnut tree was just gone, and it’s a genuine tragedy that we need to rectify as Americans.
For context, the poem was The Village Smithy.
Under a spreading chestnut-tree
The village smithy stands;
The smith, a mighty man is he,
With large and sinewy hands,
And the muscles of his brawny arms
Are strong as iron bands.

His hair is crisp, and black, and long;
His face is like the tan;
His brow is wet with honest sweat,
He earns whate’er he can,
And looks the whole world in the face,
For he owes not any man.

Week in, week out, from morn till night,
You can hear his bellows blow;
You can hear him swing his heavy sledge,
With measured beat and slow,
Like a sexton ringing the village bell,
When the evening sun is low.

And children coming home from school
Look in at the open door;
They love to see the flaming forge,
And hear the bellows roar,
And catch the burning sparks that fly
Like chaff from a threshing-floor.

He goes on Sunday to the church,
And sits among his boys;
He hears the parson pray and preach,
He hears his daughter’s voice
Singing in the village choir,
And it makes his heart rejoice.

It sounds to him like her mother’s voice
Singing in Paradise!
He needs must think of her once more,
How in the grave she lies;
And with his hard, rough hand he wipes
A tear out of his eyes.

Toiling,—rejoicing,—sorrowing,
Onward through life he goes;
Each morning sees some task begin,
Each evening sees it close;
Something attempted, something done,
Has earned a night’s repose.

Thanks, thanks to thee, my worthy friend,
For the lesson thou hast taught!
Thus at the flaming forge of life
Our fortunes must be wrought;
Thus on its sounding anvil shaped
Each burning deed and thought
In short, yeah we gotta save the trees bro.

I really, REALLY dislike how comfortable Isaiah is at calling internet author strangers as a plural "they." Even Hunter, who is ostensibly more woke on paper chokes a little at it sometimes.
Hunter hangs around Tom and Don from Flashgitz, a lot, additionally Hunter is older, so although he's a degenerate, I bet he would call everyone a nigger faggot if he could get away with it.

Used to hang out with them. Tom and Don called him fat and unhealthy so he cut off all ties with them in a temper tantrum

New episode was an ok horror tale
Just classic monster trying to kill a guy while he tries to stave it away
Setting it in a shit hole country was interesting
No real funny bits sadly

Funny, but not true, he let Don use his studio to play the space king board game with staff and the designer.
If I remember this right, I think he explained ending their show was the same reason he stopped doing Stretch and Fade with that one dude. He said it felt like he couldn't really be friends with them because any conversation he tried to have turned into "HOLD THAT THOUGHT. We're going to use this as content for the podcast, so let's save it for then." I remember thinking how much that sounded like people who were tired of dealing with Dick Masterson for the same reason. I know for sure it was his reason for the Stretch and Fade show ending and I'm pretty sure he said it was the same for Cream Crew too.

Never heard that. I think what I heard him say "It was a scheduling issue"

It's not like he hasn't double dipped before, most creep TV stuff is things he already covered.
Wendi double dipping is usually because he wants to show something to Meat. They want at least one of them to go in blind so they can discuss the story, ask questions, and speculate as it goes on. If both Meat and Wendi have already read the story then there isn't much to talk about without just talking about the story as a whole.
