Were you ever in the GATE Program as a child?

Heres a short summary:

Solution
The GATE program was a way to remove energetic, smart, and potentially disobedient kids from the class room, gaslight parents into sabotaging their own kids, and gas up shitty midwit karen teachers into sabotaging those same kids into full compliance or full delinquency. It was the carrot model versus stick "no child left behind" angle of attack to subvert any potential middle class revolt against the upper classes. The school to prison pipeline works in a different way (different race) with similar results. Schools are mandatory society engagement (dog) training facilities and GATE keeping for population control. That's why any large enough city state or government will have either a state religion or school system.

The idiots in the...
So, this is a bit, right? They're doing this to entertain the kids who weren't in GATE (that's the term they're censoring, right? Why are they censoring it? If you Google "Gifted and Talented Education" it's all over the internet -- no Men in Black show up or anything). I'm sure the regular kids wondered why some of their classmates were being pulled out of class to go do something somewhere else, so these fools are just making up a fantasy that's just grounded in reality enough (hearing tests were done regularly, school nurses probably gave out Pepto Bismo when kids threw up, etc) that people say "Oh yeah, I remember that!"

I was in the GATE program, but I wasn't tested for it in school. My school actually didn't offer it, so my parents had a psychologist administer an IQ test privately, and following the results of that test, I'd go to the nearby public school once a week for GATE "class".
It wasn't some nefarious weaponizing 8-year-olds thing -- just an opportunity for us to study different things outside of the regular curriculum, take field trips to interesting places, and participate in competitions like science fairs, quiz bowls, geography bees, and the like.
It's not the memory vacuum these people make it out to be. In fact, I probably remember more about GATE than my regular classes simply because it was all so fun and interesting for me.

The concept seems a little foreign now. Ever since "No Child Left Behind" the education curriculum has been dumbed down to the level of the slowest kid in the class -- anyone who can do more just has to sit there and be bored until the paste-eaters finally figure it out and the teacher can move on to the next topic. But back then, it seems the fact was recognized that kids learn at different rates and that nurturing giftedness is just as important as making sure that the slowest ones aren't being left behind. Maybe that's why it's possible for people to spin it like it's some mysterious concept.

So yeah, I remember GATE distinctly and fondly -- and it was nothing like what these lunatics are describing.

Same but I went alone. I don't remember most of what happened, than a giant activity room, like this, but way bigger, with mirror that spanned the room,i remember going and coming back, and getting days out of school, but i don't remember anything

Yeah I was in GATE
TLDW OP (sorry) but yet another case of chans shaping the reality of normalniggers like ripples in water. I was there for the original GATE threads on 8ch and it very very quickly mutated from speculation about the curriculum choices to legitimate diagnosed schizophrenics butting in and screeching about how they got MKULTRA'd every day for years and some kind of connection with the satanic panic/DID topic. It got retarded fast and those threads permanently shifted into schizo story hour from then on. They took it to 4/pol/ to rile up more crazies and the Qboomers picked it up and ran with it offsite on facebook and shit. To this day that is what these retards continue on about because it's just not interesting enough to say "we had advanced book clubs so we wouldn't get held back by the crayon eaters" - no, the crayon eaters now convince themselves that the "gaps" in their childhood memories were legitimate CIA psychic training torture sessions at public school.
Really tiring to see it regurgitated in the 100th iteration of telephone.

Yeah pretty much.

Everything about the OP video is infuriating because first of all it's a fucking tiktok/youtube short of some fat southern retard dependapotamus laying in bed filming her god damned television and chiming in with absolutely worthless commentary, secondly the video on the tv is another dumb fat cunt regurgitating the bullshit she wastes her time on when she's laying on the couch all day to a bunch of faggots, thirdly it's giving all the faggots a reason to do their annoying faggot "oh my god I literally can't even right now" non-commentary, fourth it's all dumb mentalist bullshit incepting memories into people through vagueness and uncertainty, fifth the subtitles of the video aren't even fucking correct, and finally that has jack shit to do with mkultra you dumb bitch, mkultra dropped the ESP shit in the sixties and shifted focus to psychological warfare and mind control because they figured out that through massive amounts of psychoactive drugs and hypnosis along with trauma -- emergent or intentionally subjected -- you can induce dissociative identity disorder in someone as a coping mechanism and create an actual manchurian candidate like Sirhan Sirhan and then from there they branched out into population control at scale, this has all been known for decades like for fuck's sake do your due diligence if you're going to use your gay little circlejerk to propagate horseshit into the collective consciousness.

I was in the "gifted" program in the nineties and I remember all of it because it was the only part of the curriculum that was even remotely engaging. Nothing spooky happened, it was just the 5-10 white kids with actual academic promise getting dedicated time with a competent teacher while the rest of the goyim and POCs got herded up for cubicle work or jail or athletic scholarships. The hearing/vision tests weren't even a part of the program, it was just a general thing everybody had to do.

You know you're a fucking retard/schizo when you're making me defend American public schools.

Kill all fat women and faggots.

Was always fascinated by the questions these kinds of threads posited whenever they appeared on /x/, but I suppose reality once again is more lame and gay than speculation.

In public school my best friend was a jew, and on his good-sayso I was invited into the GATE with him. It was always weird how these selected persons were pulled from normal curriculum to have adventures outside the normal classroom. I never suspected it was just a smaller classroom with fewer kids.

I told the teacher I wanted out after two weeks. It was emotionally draining trying to cooperate with what amounted to the richest brats in the class. I was so much more comfy picking my nose and eating paste with everyone else.

I knew the public schools offered this, but I went to a private school which part of it's appeal was academic rigor and bragged about it's high standards. I don't think we had a gifted program though, so I wasn't in one. Practically meant we worked twice as fast as the public schools, and we were way ahead. I considered it to be a good education. It was extremely strict though, and when I do look back, I remember how they were really harsh when I was in primary school, grading wise and punishment wise. I'm still grateful for my time there though, and would take it over a public school.

From what I know about our local public schools, they do more advanced work and science projects, it's nothing too special. A few years ago, there was a parent who got mad about them going on special field trips though because she felt her child was left out, so they don't do the special field trips anymore, or take everyone else along.

I was in the "gifted program" throughout grade school back in the 90s but I don't know what this GATE shit is. Six or seven of the kids in my grade would meet in the library once a week for an hour and they would give us stupid activities to work on like researching a historical figure and then doing a reenactment of their life or designing a space station. I thought it was gay and retarded even back then.

Nobody used the term GATE, but yes. The "gifted and talented program." The other kids in it were some nerd girls I never talked to.

The program: I took a bunch of extra SAT-like tests and they let me test out of classes at the beginning of each semester. They replaced those with "study hall" periods and gave me books (the "great books" curriculum, basically) to write essays about. Some classes they just pushed me ahead, "Senior English" in 9th grade, etc. My last two years I didn't have any real classes, just music and art.

Result: I had sex with older girls and joined a band with some teenage alcoholics I wouldn't have met otherwise.

Then I went to college like anybody. No cool MKUltra shit.

Too old. I was there around ages 5-9 I think, no older than that. I remember the room, I just don't remember what happened there

I was in gifted education during primary school (small school so it was me and sometimes one other guy) and it pretty much amounted to playing number games with the older kids & doing reading comprehension exercises until they ran out of stuff to test us on.

No MKUltra stuff as far as I remember, but there might as well have been because participating in the school system drove us totally nuts. The equivalent program in high school was a hive of dysfunction containing all of the worst people I've ever met. I think only half of them ended up going to uni and the rest dropped out to troon & smoke weed.

The idiots in the video and schizo's on the chans are the desired results of these programs because they can be manipulated to perpetuate the programs or weaponized against midwits.

I was in some kind of program with one girl in my grade where we would take turns sitting alone doing endless booklets of maths problems, while some visiting teacher spent time with the other one. I remember when it was my turn with the teacher, we spent some time brainstorming how I would design a better version of Jurassic Park. I don't know what the girl did in her one-on-one time, but 20 years later I was working behind a bar and a man named Edward introduced himself and said he used to be that girl. For my part, I became a homeless alcoholic. I think we each, in our own way, showed The Man we would not be tamed.

This seems to track with my own personal experiences. I felt like I was being targeted by teachers in elementary. Initially the child psychologist gave me glowing praise, then a few years later my mother asked if I wanted to go to a special ed school. It was very disconcerting.

Ah, a fellow gifted-kid-turned-homeless-alcoholic. How do you do. I wonder how many of us ended up down a similar path. Before I dropped out it looked like all my friends from GATE classes really were excelling socially and academically. I think all of us were in band at the time as we had musical inclination.
But I wonder how many went too far in search of social approval and fucked themselves up down the line like your pooner buddy.

Yeah I started around age 8. No such program existed in later schooling, just advanced classes.
