What are good reasons to move?

Some people move to another place for the climate, for better job opportunities, maybe even for the people and the culture.

California has a nice climate, yet people are moving away from it because of ridiculous laws like victims of gun violence being able to sue gun-makers recently. Would you move to New York City for more jobs and higher pay even though its, to put shortly, a bug hive? And where people can move for better pastures as their culture dies from the place you want to move to.

I already pretty much live in a country that's almost entirely a bughive, so probably yeah. At least with moving to NYC, I could eventually move somewhere else in the United States that's less of a shithole. Whether it be somewhere in upstate New York, or a different state entirely

Nah. NYC is like most cities in that its a unsafe shithole where you have to live with the constant stress of being attacked regardless of your status and no, being rich enough to hire bodyguards won't make it any less stressful.

I have moved for better jobs, but only in the areas where the climate was too my liking and it was close enough to my family. I actively refused to apply for jobs in shitholes on the east and west coast because it didn't matter to me how much money they were paying if I didn't feel safe.

I would be willing to move to NYC for the money, but it would have to be good money, like, enough that if I worked there a couple years I could afford to fuck off to the country in a sane state and not need a real job again. No way in hell I'd want to live there long though.

Like kartofel, probably would only be willing to live in NYC if I had an income that's large enough to let me go settle down somewhere else in less than a decade. Otherwise, I've visited before and I would not want to live there. Food was good though, albeit more costly than other places.
