Don’t get too focused on keeping things accurate to science.
Science constantly changes so what could have been impossible when you wrote could be seen as somewhat plausible in a few decades, so don’t worry about the implications of your spaceship being super big and how to build it

Best advice I can give is to figure out the specific subgenre(s) of science fiction you want your story to fall within, and understand the tropes of that subgenre before you try to break from convention and subvert the audience's expectations.

Other than that, most of my advice would be on how best to publish your work, but that's advice for after the writing is finished.

1. Investigate writing fundamentals, golden rules from authors or tips/tricks
2. Elaborate a schedule where you can organize your concentration
3. Put away distractions
4. Try to write between 500 to 3000 words per day. Also, consider the importance of writing in the early mornings
5. Take notes or make documents where you will store in order important factors of your story such as: general plot, plots per chapter, lines of events, character sheets, settings, data, extras, etc.)
6. JUST FUCKING WRITE and be consistent. No matter if you see it as a dream job or a hobby. Just get it done.
7. Once you are done, you can take it anywhere you please, wether is publishing on the web or asking some publishing house to sell your work.

Even though, you may be doing science ficition, get inspired by consuming books, movies or videos related to that theme.

Start with science topics that mean a lot to you and expand on how they would be in the future after decades, centuries of technological advancement. Consider how that technology has affected society and the average life.

It might help to write fan fiction for an existing science fiction universe and expand from there. A lot of writers get ideas from existing work and still manage to form unique stories.
