What are some unusual, under-appreciated, or just interesting specific philosophy subfields? (e.g. Philosophy of Dance, Cancer, Humor)

I recently met someone who specializes in the Philosophy of Dance from a phenomenological perspective. I never would have thought of dance as a philosophical subject, but once I did, it really shifted and deepened my understanding of it.

This got me thinking about other areas of philosophy that focus on specific, often overlooked topics—things that most people wouldn't immediately consider philosophical. I've come across philosophers who explore topics like humor, cancer, and so on.

What are some other unusually specific topics in philosophy that you've encountered?

Theatre, which is close to dance as a performative art. (I wont say anything about the people who major in dance or theatre) but the field itself was pretty interesting. I had to take an art credit and arbitrarily chose theatre and I’m glad I did. Great professor.

Also would theology go into unconventional fields of study?

I find the study of Butoh and the literature around it very interesting.
