MGS4 emulated on PC
Studio: Konamijima
Genre: Cutscene movie game
Features: cutscenes
Dislikes: Cutscenes
Metacritic: too lazy to look it up

Game is great but the cutscenes make me wish it was some bonus stuff. Kojima should just make a movie. Even his book he talks about film influence. Which honestly I don't mind. But when you star hiding games as art films there needs to be a disclaimer of some sort. especially with long cutscenes.

I love gaming. I love film. But to buy a game and spend 30 mins in a cut scene is wild. Plus if you skip it you will be even more confused than if you watched it!

But regardless dope choice. Look forward to hearing final thoughts or 2nd/whatever impressions.

Half life 2
Studio: valve
Genre: Shooty bang bang
Features: extremle satisfyingly guns, spooky eastern european atmosphere, seesaws, 1984
Dislikes:stamina bar, no ending
Metacritic:96
Trailer:
*not representative of final product, like at all.

Great game, has some of the best atmosphere out there. I adore its almost subtle apocalyptic setting. everythings fucked, the whole world is subjugated, the oceans being drain and children literally don't exist but it doesn't beat you over the head with it, the world wasn't destroyed they just took everything away. Game still looks incredible for something 20 years old, only things that show its age are those stretched metallic textures and some of the flat effects. Only real complaint (besides valve abandoning it) is the how much slower you are then 1 and having to use that tedious stamina bar but thats exemplifies by the fact I usually play the series back to back. Still one of the best games ever made I don't care if you where traumatized by a couple of physics puzzles that take less then a minute to solve.

Wow Classic (private server)
Studio: Blizzard
Genre: MMORPG
Features: Chilling with other people in a fantasy world.
Dislikes: You can't call people niggers on this server.
Metacritic:93
Trailer:

I have played WoW classic on/off for 20 years. I was 12 when it came out, 31 now. God, where did the time go? Although I no longer have to go to bed early for school, I never got into the hardcore endgame content, at most 5 man dungeons. What I always loved was just chilling with homies and enjoying the atmosphere and exploring. Fuck killing big dragons, I just wanna grill.

Currently Playing: DOOM II
Studio: id Software
Genre: 1st-person shooter
Features: Peak DOOM, alongside with DOOM 1.
Dislikes: No fucking way.
Metacritic: 77
Trailer:

I have been such a huge fucking DOOM fan when I was a kid, even having one copy I used to purchase from a thrift store back then. I never even played the three difficulties but Ultra Violence, because I am not a big fucking pussy, and even if I got doomed, I never gave up, and the game is absolutely bonkers for a 1994 game back then, along with its predecessor, DOOM. Although I play simpler games of my kind, or even no games, I can just go back to DOOM 2 and play it on my laptop the way I wanted like when I was younger. I was a big gore fan, coming from someone enjoying Mortal Kombat and other materials that has violence in them. Even other DOS games are cherished by me, and other titles I liked like Duke Nukem, Quake, Jazz Jackrabbit, Battle Chess, MK on DOS and so on.
I might just go back to gaming someday, even as an artfag.

Currently Playing: Ghost of Tsushima on PC
Studio: Sucker Punch
Genre: action-RPG
Features: stylish eye-pleasing good port with one of the best battle systems I have ever seen
Dislikes: characters and story are written by 12 year olds
Metacritic: idgf
Trailer: you know that game without it

Currently Playing: Hades 2
Studio: Supergiant
Genre: roguelike
Features: early access game which is in far better state than most alfas in the current year
Dislikes: some weapons are meh
Metacritic: idgf
Trailer: the same as Hades 1 basically

Currently Playing: Dwarf Fortress
Studio: Bay 12 Games
Genre: Colony sim
Features: Dwarves, mining, crafting, ASCII graphics, free
Dislikes: I got elephants in my fortress and I can't get them out
Metacritic: XD

I bought the graphical version of the game, but I only bought it to support the devs. The OG ASCII graphics are more pleasing to look at in my opinion. I haven't done much in the game. Also the free version from the bay12games website is the only way to play adventure mode which is what I used to play since I've never been bothered to figure out how to play the fortress mode before.

Currently Playing: Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword
Studio: TaleWorlds Entertainment, published by Paradox Interactive
Genre: Strategy-ARP
Features: Playing as a mercenary during the Deluge and Khmelnytsky Uprising
Dislikes: Unable to actually join a faction like other Mount and Blade games (correct me if I'm wrong), effectively forcing a Cossack playthrough, every time, in my eyes..
Metacritic: 68/100
Trailer

Currently Playing: Kenshi
Studio: Lo-Fi Games
Genre: Open-world sandbox RPG with RTS elements

Features: The story is entirely up to you, there are no real quests or end goals and discovery is a reward in itself. The entire world is explorable and viable for anything you want to do and is remarkably beautiful despite its limitations. A deep backstory is told through the environment and landscape.

Dislikes: Beak Things, getting stuck on rocks to be beaten by Skin Bandits. Also really in an unfinished state, mods are essential for a proper experience.

Metacritic: 75. Overall it's like a Zen garden or bonsai of games, the meaning and interpretation and what you do is based entirely on your own values.

You should download the English civil war mod. It's pretty nuts, doesn't crash, and you can join one of the 4 factions.

Currently Playing: Rimworld
Studio: Ludeon Studios
Genre: Colony Builder
Features: Try and build a ship to escape the planet, base building, being raided, sometimes digital tard wangling
Dislikes: Game encourages killboxes with retarded raid sizes late game.
Metacritic: 87/100

Love this game to bits. Always funny to see one of my retarded colonists have a tantrum and punch and anti-grain warhead stack. All because they ate without a table.
