What do you think is actually worth an admirable if Enter was a good cartoon reviewer?

What animations that Enter has done and hasn't done are actually wroth an admirable?

I think Over the Garden Wall was a good choice for an admirable. I think Enter made a terrible decision to not review it because he thought it was overrated. If it was overrated, how come I never heard of it until he mentioned it also it isn't anywhere near the popularity as MLP which makes his decision to not review it even more bad. Other good choices would be dropped pilots that were deserving for a show like Korgoth of Barbaria. To be honest I don't think he would ever review it because it is too manly for him. He wouldn't be able to get past the whole thing. Another good choice would be Motorcity (if it is actually an underrated gem like its fanbase claims it to be. I've never actually saw it but 4chan and youtube think it is some underrated gem that deserves a cult following) How about some episodes of Looney Tunes? Too bad he would never cover it since he only reviews 90's stuff or things he is interested in.

I don't know.
Anything that isn't sappy shit, or with jokes that are really nothing special

So he doesn't understand Over the Garden Wall, huh? I keep hearing good things about it, and let's be honest, anything that apparently has an extended homage to Max Fleischer's work with Cab Calloway ought to be good!

Maybe that's why he doesn't understand it.

In any case:

* Anything in Jerry Beck's 50 Greatest Cartoons book.

* "Stimpy's Invention" and "Space Madness," which are the two best episodes of the Ren and Stimpy Show; well-animated and well-written both. If he wanted to go for feels he could do "Son of Stimpy."

* Something, anything, that is not in his comfort zone.

It wasn't that he didn't understand Over the Garden Wall although I don't think he knows that it is a homage to Max Fleischer and Cab Calloway's work. His reason was that everyone who has seen it already knows its good and that since people know it is good he won't review it since he assumed that everyone already knows about it.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast comes to mind, if only for it's importance in cartoon history and the almost prophetic way it seemed to predict YouTube Poop videos and many other things that we see on the Internet.

Over The Garden Wall is a little overrated in the same way that Dax Riggs is overrated. They're not well known, but everyone who knows about them loves them and places them above other cartoons/singers. It's not the best cartoon ever, but it's certainly worth watching.

Watership Down is also great. I'd also recommend Korgoth of Barbaria, Dave the barbarian, Sheep in the big city and Clone high.

Turbo Teen is the absolute best cartoon I've ever seen. Hammerman is in close second. :)

I would like to believe that Enter isn't too much of a sourpuss to not give Korgoth a fair look.

@Reverend_Lovejoy: How about Cartoon Planet, which was an even better show and even more random?

The Critic would be a good example of an adult cartoon that deserves its praise.

True, Cartoon Planet is a great show as well. The reason why I said Space Ghost instead of Cartoon Planet, or Sealab or Harvey Birdman or Brak Show is because it has a little history behind the cartoon and it had an influence on other cartoons. I'd like to see Enter talk about that aspect as well as the show.

The Critic is good too, the Simpsons connection is worth discussing I think. As well as the Siskel and Ebert connection.

@Reverend_Lovejoy: He's probably never even heard of Cartoon Planet, anyhow; it came along before the Cartoon Cartoons and only managed to last through Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken.

Maybe something from Adventure Time? The Season 5 finale/Season 6 opener 3-parter was pretty great IMO. "Jake the Brick" was also a really interesting and unconventional episode.
Side note: This is an interesting thread, and it does have to do with Mr. Enter somewhat, but I feel like this thread should be moved to the Multimedia subforum. The Entersphere should focus on the many failures of Mr. Enter, his Enterbots, and his shitty cartoon, Growing Around. I think underrated/underappreciated cartoons is an interesting topic, just one that belongs elsewhere.

I could come up with a pretty big list but an absolute must have review would have to be Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Akira and any Studio Ghibli films would be fantastic but again I fear it's too anime for him to review. Pretty much any cartoons before he was born. Looney Tunes, Disney films, things he'd actually have to do research and put effort into.
