What if the United States started imposing a farting tax on it's citizens. - 5 dollars per fart.

In the United States. To combat Climate Change to meet their Agenda 2030 goals. The United States would tax it's citizens 5 dollars per every fart because they believe farting causes global warming. Every citizen will be forced to have a fart detector embedded in their anus and it will automatically deduct 5 dollars out of a person's bank account for farting. Would people try to leave the United States, would other countries follow through. Best scenario gets a solution.

The first thing that would happen is the EU would follow suit at the next climate summit. China and India would be conveniently excluded from these measures though so what would end up happening is the worst farters in the West would find ways to export their farts overseas while your average, small scale, farters foot the bill.
Next would come fart tax credit companies people would pay a slightly smaller fee to offset their fart production. Of course, these companies just end up passing farts on through various shell companies until those farts, too, end up in China.

There will be more farts than ever. They'll just all be localized on the other side of the world as local industry pays the cost.

If that happened, the list of "Human Rights" (and equivalents) would probably extend to cover that outrageous idea, sadly, no one cares about these rights as they are blatantly violated left & right on a regular basis.

Still, no one would follow through, and this "fart tax" would cause a true American revolution, like no one ever has seen before.
