What is the greatest poem of all time?

The Chaos by Gerard Nolst Trenité is pretty great if you want to piss off people who speak English as a second language, or as a first language, or just generally anyone even vaguely familiar with English. I liked that one French war veteran who said something along the lines of, "I'd rather go back into the trenches than have to read that fucking poem ever again."

Catullus 16, a poem so filthy that it wasn't until the late 20th century that it was even translated.

It quite literally is a Latin poet making a diss track responding to criticisms that his prose was too soft. It is fucking hilarious.

Edit: "Howl" was also great, but I think it'd more for personal significance at understanding what a poem could mean to people thanks to a good teacher

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
