What is the purpose of the Lolcow Salon?

Why do we need a section of the forum to be dedicated towards fat women instead of having the fat women lolcows be put in the regular sections of the site?

The subforums are created for different audiences rather than different subjects. Lolcow Salon is for a mostly female audience.

It’s easier for the user to find threads relevant to their interests when they’re grouped like that.

Lolcow Salon is also useful because overall, the cows aren’t as dark and dangerous as the ones outside the Salon. It’s nice for users who don’t want to see as many threads containing super disturbing things like zoophilia and incest rape.

I frequent it a good bit in the ‘off topic’ section because many of those threads have more of a broad range of topics of interest in general, and IRL I get along better with women anyway. Most of the Deathfats and regular Salon cows aren’t particularly interesting to me, and a lot of it comes across as petty. Ever since RvW got overturned the BPDs and TERFs have started crawling out of the woodwork and made many threads unusable (some already were, like the Tard-baby general). There are many great lady Kiwis, but the ratio of sane vs unhinged seems to tip in the latter direction as of late, so I’m glad they have their own board to contain that plague. And as far as users thinking it’s like a pussyfied version lolcow…go look up Kelly’s legs. Nightmare fuel.
