I'm never going to play the tabletop game because it's way too autistic. But I've been listening to audiobooks of the lore and plan on buying some model kits.

Its funny, its the same for me as well. I recently got back into the hobby and I've been converting new imperial guard kits into the old metal regiments you used to be able to buy, (Steel legion, Mordian iron Guard, Vallhallan ice warriors, Tallarn desert raiders) You can get all 54 of the Horus heresy audiobooks from the pirate bay btw.

I have been reading 40k novels for years.
Horus Heresy is good, but I actually prefer the stuff in the current Dark Imperium.
The Nu Marines were a stupid asspull to sell new models, but the stories that came out, especially those by Guy Haley are pretty good.
Rowboat Girlyman is finally a somewhat interesting character, Devastation of Bhaal and the whole Dante trilogy are amazing, and Belisarius Cawl, resident Mary-Sue mad scientist is also an addition I like.

Never expected to like the lore of an over-the-top setting like 40k, but here we are.

I like 40k but I don't like space marines, tried other books but the only ones I've liked so far are gaunts ghosts, ravenor/eisenhorn and caiphus cain.

S.t.a.l.k.e.r/Roadside Picnic. I started playing Into the Radius and it made me want to reread Roadside Picnic. It's a short book so I finished it in a couple of days. Once I finish Into the Radius I'm probably gonna replay Call of pripyat while I wait for Stalker 2 to come out.

S.t.a.l.k.e.r/Roadside Picnic. I started playing Into the Radius and it made me want to reread Roadside Picnic. It's a short book so I finished it in a couple of days. Once I finish Into the Radius I'm probably gonna replay Call of pripyat while I wait for Stalker 2 to come out.

I got into that exact rabbit hole a couple years ago. I suck at those games though.

Battleships. Watched a lot of videos and read some book. From US Civil War monitors to the Battleship's New Jersey last combat ride in the 1980s. There is something majestic in those huge metal behemoths, filled to the brim with the latest and most expensive technologies of their time and hundrets of people working in more or less unison to keep it going.

Ham radio.
