And I'm not talking about "so good it's bad", or movies that are just plain bad, but movies that you enjoy that are just plain dumb.

One of my favorite dumb movies is "Simone" (2002). It's like a movie made about advanced computer technology for people who use AOL.

The whole movie Al Pacino call this program he uses to make a CGI actress "Computer Code", which is funny because they way he says it, you can tell he (the actual actor) is about as versed in computers as any Supreme Court Justice.

Other than that, the whole idea of the movie is just plain dumb, but I watch it just about every three months.

What about the rest of you?

Does it count if the movie knows it's dumb and fucking loves it and addresses how dumb it is in the movie?

Cause if so it's gotta be Freddy Got Fingered

I didn't consider that one, but I have to say it's up there. My favorite scene was the deleted one on the DVD where he goes to the cheese sandwich factory for his first shift and doesn't make a single sandwich.

I hated that movie the first time I saw it, but seeing it with the right person made me love it.

Pootie. Tang.
My ex fiancees cat was named after this movie.
A Beautiful Mind because the exceptional individual wins.
lmfao.

For me, Grandma's boy, I never have smoked pot in my life but it's a stoner comedy and I have such fond memories of it in college. We would watch it damn near daily, and we'd scream every line before it was said then still laugh our asses off when the actors say it.

Plus a few great quotes "I hope it's a naked fire fighter... with a boner!" "New high score? Did I break it? Is that good?" "This is like if Tyson fought an infant" "Monkey is a fast learner, I have my green belt, he's got his yellow belt already"

Would Kung Pow! Enter the Fist qualify here? Cause that movie is ridiculously stupid, but it always makes me giggle at the absurd shit.

Yes. This thread is almost like a 'these are my guilty pleasure movies' thing.
I've never seen that one, but it definitely qualifies.

Let me be a movie snob for a quick second then point and laugh again.

That movie sucks. It is like snakes on a plane the first attempt to really bomb on bad films. After wards you had dozen movies trying to mock those genres. Kung pow is great mocking.

Pay the Ghost is very enjoyable if you have an interest in horror. It's so completely generic, and the devices it uses to create atmosphere are so hammy that they wouldn't be out of place in a giallo flick. Seeing it try so seriously to be an atmospheric mystery horror and fall flat is weirdly compelling.

The Commuter is able to be enjoyed in a similar way, when you view Neeson's character as a parody of post-Millennial dad rage, and how absurd the plot devices become to the extent that at one point it directly duplicates the Multi Track Drifting!! scene from Initial D.
