What is the issue with cannibalism besides the diseases that are more likely to come from eating people, the initial disgust and the morale question of what counts as disturbing the dead?
If we were not socialised to believe Cannibalism to be wrong, would you participate in it?
Would it have to be prepared in a special way for you to consider it, like an organ donor kind of program (or halal)?
It's a thought that keeps me up at night. Would I eat Human? Would eating it cause me to cease being human?

Feel free to explain.
I'll also post other questions that specifically keep ME up because I'm too lazy to search if they exist as a thread already later.

Honestly, as long as it's impossible for me to find out who i'm eating, then it's just meat. Like, whatever. Who cares?
Put some BBQ/A1 sauce on that shit and chow down.
Just don't eat the brain.

The only time I'd ever consider cannibalism is if I were in a Donner Party/rugby team stranded in the Andes situation. Since that's an extremely improbable scenario, no, I would not willingly partake of Long Pig.

It's an anti-social behavior as you no longer recognize an individual as an individual but as something to harvest and eat. There is a reason farmers don't often name their cattle, to do so makes it more than something to eat. Eating a person is wrong, from a health perspective, a social perspective, and a moral perspective. You can't seperate a human from society and expect to get a functioning human. Society is an extension of humanity, something that is a part of all us. It is what seperates us from animals and even other members of the Homo genus.

Absolutely not, people are gross as hell and riddled with disease most of the time. That's without going into the black lungs of smoking addicts and the goddamn treasure trove of filth that is the body of your average addict.

One logical question I have is where would the source of the meat come from? Dead people? Even people who die of congenital conditions or health issues would probably have fouled meat. For instance, do you want to consume the flesh of a longtime heavy smoker who died of emphesyma? Or an alcoholic with hard arteries who died of cirrohsis of the liver?

You can't just get around this by saying "Well, don't eat the bad parts" because those kinds of lifestyles have chemical side-effects that settle into the muscular and especially the fatty tissues.

Accident victims are probably no good either. I wouldn't want to pick asphalt bits out of a car crash victim steak.

My best guess for a source of human meat would be fat fuckers who die of a heart attacks since its least likely to be contaminated. But you better get them into the butcher's room fast before rigor mortis sets in and the meat spoils.

I was wondering where all the "consensual cannibalism" supporters went. Nice to see they were still with us all along.

Based on what I know of parasitology and viruses and such, which is only what I know, it's probably not super safe to eat other humans, especially the organs and brain. It isnt always safe to eat certain animals either but one might question if a bacterial infection like the bubonic plague could remain present in deceased corpses one might want to stay away from spreading potentially fatal illnesses by eating said deceased corpses or infected persons. If something that can rapidly evolve is presently infiltrating the human immune system somewhere it probably isnt wise to risk consuming it by eating the meat of a human, if not for arguments sake, so we dont encourage any further rapid evolution and mutation from viruses and parasites and bacterial infections. Which brings me to the other part. If you were to harvest human meat you'd have to isolate human cattle in the same way we have beef cows or chicken farms. If one of those human stock coming in and out was sick with an undetected virus it would contaminate the entire "herd". I think it's best not to tempt the gods when it means fighting invisible threats so close to home, with a great possibility of transmission to the consumer.

Also no I wouldn't. It's sick. You cant eat people that's fucking bottom of the barrel sick sick, sick.

Tons of other perfectly edible animals around and you gotta worry about whether you can eat people smdh tbh fam

What's wrong with beating up homeless animals? Everything we do is a social construct and it's the one thing keeping us from being ruthless killers (again). I've not heard of cannibalism for survival in ages, so of course it has to do with killing and then consuming. Half the time it's still the kill itself that draws attention, not whether they didnt or did rape and eat the corpse.

That's disgusting, you fucking weirdo. Eating human flesh is one thing but putting A1 sauce on it is just vile.
