If you count thinking why Pacific Islanders be the ones associated with big large tiki masks, have fires, and go oog—a-a-oog are an inorganic thing. Then there you go. It was never a thing and that makes me sad, I can only imagine the many myths that could be spawned from it.

Gorgar wasn't the name I picked. When DMs got leaked, I didn't know which word to change, so I gave a list of names and told whoever coordinated name changes to pick the best one. I can only remember one name from that list: Mr. Giggles.
Though if you're asking me why I would choose it, it was because Gorgar is the exact name of a pinball machine. I love pinball machines.
