I do not understand which magnesium supplement to take and why
Glycinate seems to be the go-to version. Helps with sleep and some other stuff.

Weird, I did some home (cheap) finger prick tests for vitamin D, and they both told me I was completely deficient, yet I've been taking 4000iu a day for years.

I read up that the NHS (if you can even get them to test you) just end up giving you a high dose tablet once a week to get you back on track, I've heard 50,000iu, so I thought fuck it, and found some 10,000iu caps and started taking them daily a month ago.

I just has some bloods done and my vitamin D level was still only just near the middle of the chart, despite me now taking 70,000iu a week for the last month!

I suffer badly with SAD, and I'm a totally different person, which is why I tried vitamin D on the regular, but I still suffer, so now I'm wondering if I've been deficient all these years......

No fucking idea, I guess we'll see how I get on this coming winter, now that my levels have increased. In the meantime I'm sticking with 10,000iu a day.

How are they? I get beef and lamb liver, also blend up chicken hearts with roo mince and herbs and spices for hamburger, but a bit hesitant to try the kidneys given they filter what they filter.
Can hardly describe it, guess if you just plainly pan fry them they're a bit more on the chewy side for meat but tastes (imo) similar to liver. (Rather prefer them with sauced up rice/soup than blended up)
If I get them it's usually because like any Offal they're pretty cheap, haven't had any Issues eating those over the past decades so I guess you're fine as long as they're not raw. (or butchered by a jeet)
