Had that happen to me like a couple weeks ago and it went away on its own. I assumed they were testing a new UI and reverted the changes due to negative feedback.

I have no idea why it would affect some people and not others at different times.

Didn't work. I don't know why they'd change what has essentially been the exact same layout since Youtube was first started out of the blue. Did someone rape something?

I've had this UI change for a while now and yes, it's absolutely dog shit. When you open the Bio on a video, the comments section just disappears completely which pissed me off. I've also had a lot of instances of comments ending with an elipses, but I can't expand them to read the remainder. It just keep getting worse every year.

It's a really weird layout change that takes time to get used to but it's also pretty unnecessary since the older ones were fine to begin with. Reminds me of the shitty DeviantArt Eclipse layout that fucked up everything on this site.

Odysee and Rumble are already really decent even good alternatives to YouTube, however the downside is what makes them relevant (e.g. people want to use them) is that they allow more non-PC (even sometimes racist) content.... because free speech is apparently a bad thing. In the eyes of most I'd like to believe it isn't but it would surely scare the pussy advertisers away. So because of all these complications it's not as straightforward as a task as you make it seem here

Having to balance finding something that people would want to use your video site over YouTube to upload videos on while also not succumbing to the same fate that Bitchute currently has - which has effectively reduced their image these days as pretty much "youtube for nazis" - is a really daunting effort

I'm sick of this fucking fetish that devs have for making hybrid UI for mobile and desktop devices. Fuck off nigger just accept desktop is a different fucking form factor to mobile devices and you will have to spend a little bit of extra money to maintain both.

They often do A/B tests with a subset of users, but it doesn't always get rolled out to everyone, presumably because (in part) due to negative feedback.
