A trophy point is kind of like a participation trophy, just for games with point systems. In order for the incompetent players to feel good about themselves, they get trophy points in order to catch up to the actual skilled players.

Milestones reached through different actions in a forum, usually to show things like the dedication of the user, their contributions, to have the account gain some character/standout item (like a badge), etc.

It's a fun thing to have in forums, but ultimately useless. People like it though, and we might see similar customizations with Null's new plan for Kiwifarms; you can see it with the T&H fan title as well.
