I keep a few things my vehicle just in case shit hits the fan. This is my bug out bag, and I have it in case of things ranging from getting a small cut to a calamity or an emergency at work where I can't come home for a few days. I may not have a literal bag but I do have a few "kits"

In my "bugout bag" I keep: my suitcase of tools (for work and play. I never go anywhere without it), my lightweight sleeping bag, a tiny first aid kit with the usuals, bags of nuts, two water bottles, a huge battery bank with a 120v outlet, at least a change of socks, a rain coat and some old boots.

My question to you is what essentials do you carry? Do you prefer to go heavier than this or can you get by with a lighter kit? In highschool I used to sell little "survival" kits in Altoids tins, maybe some people like those.

I carry 2 aspirin wherever i go.
If you have a heart attack they can increase your change of survival by like 30 to 40 percent. Would recommend everyone to do the same. Get the ones without coating and without the "long release" stuff. Know the symptoms, if they hit take them and chew them, dont swallow.

I used to keep a big 72 hour one around but ive since changed it for just a get out of the country/state bag

back up phone and charger
everyone should have that, people run around with their phones remembering all their passwords and as their 2 factor device without any backups.
Easy to get fucked when you loose your phone and cant send transations for like a week until you can reauthenticated

I don’t have one. I’ve done enough wilderness survival to know that nothing I can pack will be anywhere sustainable as camping in my house.

We didn't have one until there was a serious earthquake here and we figured the house could come down completely.

-A good sized tool bag stays in my vehicle.

-Car mounted antenna and a Baofeng UV-5r mounted next to the center console. (Dual band radio)

-I keep two USB drives on my keys with PDFs concerning anything and everything I might want to know in a bind. (Second drive is just a back up)

-Thinkpad x220 and charger.

-basic first aid kit. (Need to restock it)

I seriously need to pick up a suitable firearm to keep in my vehicle at least. I have a few at home, but nothing that works well for daily transport.

I've put a lot of work into prepping supplies, but I'm a bug-in kind of guy, and I don't really go more than an hour from home. So anything I have in my vehicle is to get home in an emergency.
