Pepe might not have been the funniest meme created but goddamn did he make an impact - so much so that even the mainstream media couldn't ignore him. Without him being branded as an infamous hate symbol a lot of people wouldn't have actually investigated about what the MSM were being truthful and lying about. Godspeed, you tendie-loving frog, you were the hero we never knew we needed.
It's Okay to Be White was a pretty damn funny meme as well as Shia LeBouf's HWNDU so they get special mention too.

Eh, Pepe started out as a late 2000's meme but I'll give him an honorable mention for the MSM shitshow over him during the 2016 election.
For me, the greatest memes of the 2010's would be Virgin vs. Chad and the various Simpsons memes like Steamed Hams, Simpsonwave, and the different Simpsons shitposting memes like Sugar Sugar or Liver and Onions.
Another meme from the later part of this decade that I personally love is the "X but it's played in an empty mall" and all the derivatives thereof. It sort of sparked a trend of nostalgic set-piece videos consisting of a still image and the remixed audio and parodies thereof (like "Pumped Up Kicks but it's a school shooting")
Boomer Wojak was a good meme, but only the original trio of Boomer/Zoomer/Doomer as well as Consoomer.
Coomer was a forced meme and honestly isn't that funny, while Bloomer was a bit superfluous at best.
