The Jews of old were alright, they struggled hard with society-wide sin, but they were also existing in a sort of temporary state, waiting for the Messiah. The Jewish religion explicitly continued into the future into Christianity from the very beginning, though they didn't know exactly how. When Christ came, Judaism had the opportunity to fulfill itself in Him, and many did. The remaining people are now stuck in their strange false vacuum, still waiting for He who already came. Think of it like Canada with the US, for us to continue beside them, we have to make sure we're kept separate, and therefore develop really weird anti-American copes.
As to Jew-hatred from Christians, I'd say it's a bit like tranny hatred here, you want them to reverse their ways and follow a better path, but they're so far gone that bringing goodness or truth near them only causes them to bury themselves deeper into evil. People hate trannies because it turns the tragedy of loving them (in the real Christian sense, not "being nice") into at least a sort of militaristic victory. Or maybe I'm just a softie and you're all just evil chud cyberbullies, child.
It's tough, but I will say that on an individual level, loving Jews and trannies and such is a remarkable weapon if you can do it right. They actually need an enemy in order to exist, something to set themselves against and give that sense of being the plucky rebel fighting the big bad evil guy. If you can take that away from them without ever letting them consider you as "one of the good ones", you can sort of cause a tearing in their mind by pulling in two directions at once, which is quite painful.
