Whats your Opinion On The Encyclopedia Dramatica Forums?

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
My opinion is that it's been down for so long and changed domains so many times I have not even looked at it in the past 2 years.

It used to be entertaining. I liked the random button, and would often just end up learning about people I would have never have looked for in the first place.

ETA my bad, did not notice it was the forum. nvm, don't know shit about it.

never been to the forums but the site itself went downhill after it went offline a million times and a bunch of niggers struggled time and time again to keep it afloat (lost much of the images in the process)

yeh i agree. after the age of 15 i stopped finding the site really all that funny. every article written about a particular person like "x is a retarded faggot xD [insert redundant gross or NSFW images here]" can only be effective so many times

ED predates the Kiwi Farms, so if anything this place is the imitator and innovator.

ED is more into shock and deliberate edginess than facts. It comes from some dark place in the aughties where your friends would trick you into watching a video of a kitten being killed in a blender; and you’d prank them back by sending them goatse and rickrolling them.

That community of troubled souls decided it would be fun to make a bizzaro Wikipedia that catalogues rumors and documents Internet famous and infamous people. Kinda like the Kiwi Farms, which itself is a direct offshoot of ED (via the CWCki and it’s associated CWCki Forums.) I think Kiwi Farms is *slightly* better at keeping the facts straight about its lolcows. But there’s a lot of speculation and bullshit here too.

As for ED Forums… to judge them would be like the pot calling the kettle black. They aren’t saying anything that hasn’t been said in the Thunderdome.

Those are still kicking? Last I saw of it was before the whole Zaiger ordeal.
I never joined but lurked for years, the DA subforum was a hoot, especially in the heyday of Dobson. The post your art thread would attract some wild specimens as well, the one that sticks out the most for me was the one guy obsessed with black women and dinosaurs.
