I have a theory that most people if not virtually everyone acts and lives a little bit (sometimes a lot) differently than they desired, whether is with some smaller thighs and other people actually “act” on their lives fearing what can happen if they lived the way they wanted, the best way of getting along my thought is with some examples.
Examples:
Imagine you live in a place just like ours but...
Example 1 - a VERY bad and idiotic world.
… there assassination is considered a mundane thing, there is no law against it and everyone is ok with killing people (literally) if you lived in this world, you’ll simply kill everyone you don’t like because you can?
Example 2 - a more realistic and probably not-too-far-away world
… there is no discrimination about race, gender, sexuality, and any other related problems here not mentioned also everyone is completely ok/don’t really care about your choice, not only that but all your rights and laws allow you to choose without any compromises, would you have a different gender, a different sexual orientation if you live on this world? Would you feel and live better there?
The Goal:
The goal is not to answer this questions on the examples, the real goal is to determine how far or close from you lives the determining factor (if not multiples) that could change you live dramastically for better, I hear and read a lot of people complaining that if their parents were more accepting about (fill in the blank) question or if they lived on a more acceptive place they would act differently or their lives would be better in general.
I want to hear you thoughts and stories about what you consider the “last barrier” that prevents you from not getting there.
Last but not least, the main reason I wrote this is to gather answers, I read a lot of peoples stories and discussions but I’m really curious to read more answers and have some discussion here.
