Browsing reddit as a "guilty pleasure and to look at cool memes" is benign and something we'd probably all admit to doing if we were being honest, and it only becomes gay when you start interacting with the community. As dumb as Reddit can be, when you're dealing with uncontroversial topics it can have fairly valuable input. That especially goes for answer about casual tech stuff. Catler's kind of right, it does pollute search results, but that can be a positive or a negative depending on the issue.

Discord is one of those services where if every single person who uses it at this point died, it would be a major net postive for the world. Kind of like if California broke off and sank into the pacific.

Discord can be used to chat with a small group of friends. Reddit requires you to interact with redditors. Reddit is worse because you can still use discord without the bullshit
