Because they are Feds trying to push the national mood towards a positive one. It will not work. Inflation is still really bad. And tariffs just trap people spending their worthless money at local business who have inflated prices on marked up foreign manufactured products. Without tariffs people could escaping markups and buying direct from foreign manufactures to get more affordable options with their worthless money.
