Why are huskies the dog breed most targeted by zoofurries?

Because some furfags want to be different and choose a wolf-like dog breed instead of a wolf or a fox like 80% of other furfags, but that's as original as they'll get.

It's also a lot easier to find and own a husky than it is a wolf. They've very high maintenance as far as dogs go, but still not like trying to keep a wolf in the house.

I agree with everyone saying its because they look like wolves but are docile like a dog.....but why do they want to rape wolves so badly?

A better question would be why do furries gravitate toward wolves/dogs to begin with.

There’s a lot of speculation as to why but the most plausible is because most people grow up around dogs and there’s a perception that wolves are essentially “cooler dogs”. This extends toward broader culture where “Alpha” and “Beta” derive from wolves. Despite the fact this is based on now outdated research into wolf behavior and this behavior only exists in captivity.

I would also say it’s because dogs are loyal animals that are usually portrayed as innocent and it’s a pleasant feeling to identify with an animal that isn’t intentionally malicious but also outwardly happy/loyal. Most furries are predominantly homosexual and these qualities are commonly favored in gay relationships so I think this is subconsciously a way to portray yourself to potential friends/partners.

They never really had close human friends and thus grew unhealthily close to their pets

This
Because they're very "wolflike", I assume.
would be my guess/answer.

Though I’m angrier I now have to know this site
exists, somethings were better left for ignorance.
