Why are redditors such degenerates? - Is null a furry?

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Solution
Echo chamber. By and large a subreddit is for a very specific topic or community, so you're already dealing with the problems that come with forums. Now add a point system and "gold", which makes the problems of internal cliques and board politics in general by not only rewarding posts with an imaginary scoreboard, but making it where if enough people disagree with what you say, it's sent to the bottom of the page and made all but invisible unless you go out of your way to view it. On a place like KF, if you say something stupid you can still get shitty ratings, but the board isn't designed to more or less eat your unpopular opinion the way Reddit is.

It is by design a circle jerk ecosystem.

You get enough mean stickers you even get highlighted so more people can read your post.

Another thing wrong with that system is that the down vote provides no feedback, with kf stickers it could be dumb or disagree so you know exactly why they didn't like it.
