I mean as far as I know, literally every single communist regime to date has horrifically persecuted homosexuals, with the exception of the Soviet Union during its VERY early days.

The Soviets funded a lot of the gay organizations in the mid-20th century. The American left-right binary doesn't help since conservatives are religious, so they think "more left = better". Germany actually had a gay guy lead their "Free Democratic Party" for a while (basically the same ideology as Republicans but without the Jesus stuff) probably because they have a more nuanced view of politics.

They aren't actuall communists,they're more akin to liberal extremists/totalitarian wokeists whose primary purpose is to break down norms and power structures that they deem oppress "marginalized communities" and prevent individual self-realization/expression,even if it's at the expense of societal good (and increasingly in defiance of science).
