Why are there so many Christmas hate articles every year?

You know what I'm talking about. Once a year the writers at the NYT all rub their hands together and go "bah humbug, we'll tell everyone Jesus was gay this year" or similar negative shit like that.

Or they overshadow it with articles on the little celebrated hauunikah or the meme of Kawanza. Or try to insert gays into it. Again. Or just call it X-mas.

Whats the deal? Is it just New York Jewish writers or does everyone hate Christmas?

I mean that's the obvious answer. But it makes them so upset they act like saying merry Christmas is a offense. The left in general is anti Christmas

'The left' has always been anti-christian, no matter what your definition of 'The left' is.

'The Jews' do hate christians, this is a fact and they don't bother hiding it because we have allowed them to define as 'Antisemitism' calling them out on their crap in a manner they've not managed to make the muslims do, and that was done through a corpus of meticulous subversion that gave birth to the French Revolution and the very foundation of the United States itself.

A lot of the US Founding Fathers were rabidly anti-christian.

Do your research.

I agree up to here

This is where we disagree.

When you look up who is writing the anti-christian articles.

there are a lot of religious people around the world, thats a lot of people to make mad
if you make a stupid person mad enough they will click your article
rage bait works, time and time again
That's a reason I think is overlooked a lot. It DOES get clicks and sell papers. It's a problem with the media in general, like when they do back to back news coverage on a school shooting for a week straight, guaranteeing it happens again, so they can sell you more shock and horror.

Because a lot of people now hate Christianity for not affirming whatever modern progressive values they hold and see as unquestionable goods, and so anything that undermines whatever little cultural legacy it still holds is fair game.
Or just call it X-mas.
This isn't as nefarious as it seems. From Wikipedia:
The 'X' comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Christós (Greek: Χριστός, translit. Khristós, lit. "anointed, covered in oil"), which became Christ in English.[1] The suffix -mas is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass.[2][3]

There is a common misconception that the word Xmas stems from a secularizing tendency to de-emphasize the religious tradition from Christmas,[4][5] by "taking the Christ out of Christmas"; nevertheless, the term's usage dates back to the 16th century, and corresponds to Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Church of England, and Episcopalian[6] liturgical use of various forms of chi-rho monogram. In English, "X" was first used as a scribal abbreviation for "Christ" in 1100; "X'temmas" is attested in 1551, and "Xmas" in 1721.[7]

Because people are miserable, and misery loves company.
First it was "Saying Merry Christmas is insensitive" and had to switch to "Happy Holidays" whatever, not religious; couldn't give a fuck. I'm apathetic to the religious aspect but I can get behind the idea of a time of year where everyone is a bit more giving and happy towards their fellow man, etc.
Today I've been given shit by co-workers and clients that both have homed in on "Happy Holidays". I get that by extension of being on flightless bird site, I'm already a jaded, bitter fuck; but if you are incapable of handling even "Happy Holidays" and have to make it everyone else's problem that you're unhappy on a public level, Holy fuck just perish.

That's the basis of it all; joyless fucks.
Who hates winter solstice holidays? Joyless fucks; that's who.

Christmas has always been timeless for me. The concept it needs to fit modern day is stupid.

On its face it isn't. In the past it wasn't. But now? Belief is truth. And Christmas is all about belief. Companies co opted it to make a neutral term to sell shit, leftists use it to destroy Christ

My gosh, people are scrooge. You should keep a box of coal at your desk and huck it at those fucks

A lot of people are unhappy around Christmas because their personal experience of the holiday doesn't live up to the fairytale portrayals. Maybe it never did. So they write these articles. Some of it is for commiseration with readers in similar circumstances. Some of it is an attempt to make readers who are not in similar circumstances miserable.

Billy Peltzer: I always thought everyone was happy during the holidays, no matter what.
Kate Beringer: Most people are, but some aren't. While everybody else opens up presents, they're opening up their wrists.

Oh, I have no doubt about it. The same way there are people who use the upside-down Crucifix as an anti-Christian symbol not realizing that it's the Cross of Saint Peter. Knowing the actual context behind it arguably makes it funnier.
