Why are there so many shithole countries?

Manipulation from surrounding/first world countries, lack of important resources, and just poor location in general can sink potential. Oftentimes it's the first, especially since China is turning other countries into debtslaves, the US swoops in after natural disasters to harvest adrenochrome, and Russia is butthurt about not owning Ukraine - those kinds of examples.

While there is bad leadership and stuff, a lot of people in power purposefully brainwash and manipulate their people because they can make money off of it. The world be run by power and money after all and no one wants to give up their spot if it means they'll lose any kind of gains.

Fundamentally, respect for private property rights is the biggest determining factor for if a place is going to be a nightmare to live in or not. Despite modern neo-liberal impulses against tradition, these values appear to take many generations to take hold and bombarding people with smartphones and Disney capeshit doesn't do the trick. Places steeped in English common law or Confucianism seem to fare the best. Catholic, Orthodox, or Buddhist traditions slightly less so. Things start getting dicey beyond that.

I've thought of this before. I think it's because European countries went through social changes alongside their technological changes which complimented one another.

Shithole countries got all this stuff second hand, without really needing to change their primitive mindset or appreciate where this technology came from. Giving infrastructure and technology to a country doesn't automatically fix it, you need to stop the population being retards first. If the Europeans were too busy drinking camel piss and widow burning then the industrial revolution wouldn't have happened.

If I'm not making sense tell me to fuck off.

Can't they do any better? In current year we still have countries stuck in the fucking middle ages and passing out death and destruction to its peoples like it was candy. What the actual fuck?
It's literally because of America and Western Europe. They try to shoehorn in democracy and western values in places they don't fucking belong, limiting the capabilities of the people living there and divulging into nepotism and bureaucracy and corruption.

Many of the states of Africa aren't based on nation or ethnic identity, they're literally a bunch of tribesmen uplifted technologically. Their borders don't make any sense.

Communism, which mostly happened in Eastern Europe, is a Western invention and that fucked over a lot of people.

Other than that, Geography determines which nations will be great, which ones failures. The ones with access to oceans to one side are usually destined for greatness. Ancient Iran, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, China. The USA. It even borders two oceans.

It happened in the country with the smallest population, during the Mini-Ice age. Without those factors, the Industrial Revolution either wouldn't have happened, or it would have happened later, but maybe not in Europe. Well, to be more honest - the British Isles, which is a separate world from that of the "Old" "Continent".
