It’s shocking how easily those WWII era people allowed themselves to be lied to. Looking back at WWII propaganda there was so little push back especially in America with no pushback after Pearl Harbor. The average Joe, during the worst of the depression unironically gave money to the military industrial complex and Jews for no fucking reason. Say what you will about Boomers but they outright refused the Jewish call to war on several occasions. What did the “Greatest Generation” have that made them such puppets?

The people had a much greater level of trust in their government overall. The term "propaganda" hadn't picked up as much of a negative connotation yet and mass media didn't have their eyes constantly peeled for the next scandal to spin out of proportion. On top of that, there was already a rising pro-war sentiment exacerbated by the troubled economy. Joining the forces was still a valid means of escaping poverty back then.
The final punchline? The boomers fell for propaganda as well. The propaganda just came from a different list of sources. All those images of naked gooks burning alive were taken and distributed for propaganda purposes.

The question is never "how susceptible to propaganda are you?" It's always been "who's propaganda do you trust?"

I’d say that it’s been a lot better in the modern internet age. Kiwi Farms in of itself proves that. This type of form would not exist in any other era. Even if the masses are sheep

People were not as adjusted (immunity is about the same) to propaganda techniques. It's one reason WWIII is a much harder sell, most of the reliable stuff has been done to death.
