Almost every time I talk to a so called 'white supremacist ' it turns out they're half breeds and/or barely white. They're almost always brown skinned.

Why is this? Why do you mutts think you're white?

There must be a certain degree of self-loathing and coping mechanism, as due to a homogenized "melting pot" style American upbringing they may lack a strong connection to their darkie cultural heritage and thus latch onto the more culturally prestigious white culture.

The same reason why white people with a lone Injun at the very top end corner of their otherwise all white family tree like to think they're Native American. A combination of a lack of personality, sense of self, connection with their own culture, guilt or self loathing, or just plain boredom. These people have no real personalities and what little they have is based entirely on this persona they have stitched together from their romanticized ancestry, personal politics, and their delusions of self.

Though honestly, its almost sad that as much of a melting pot as this nation is, so many of us can't find a culture to cling to. Time has washed it away and now we're left with nothing.

I think the sociologists have a term for this phenomenon of cultural dislocation: anomie

Anyway, it is amusing how over time, the people in charge of the conventional narrative have managed to spin the metaphor of the "American melting pot" into a positive rather than a negative force for homogenization. I think the "melting pot" metaphor was originally having some negative connotations.

Sure, if you melt certain metals together in very specific proportions, you can produce a quite nifty and useful alloy like brass or stainless steel. But if you throw all kinds of random metals into a forge without regard for precise combination or quantity, you'll just get worthless molten slag out the other end, filled with impurities and useless for any practical application.

The comparison probably can be extended to cultures as well. Some can combine with others in specific proportions to create a desirable synthesis of both. Others don't mix well and will just produce the cultural equivalent of worthless slag.
