Why do people who possess "esoteric" knowledge not use it in any meaningful way? - Why do they spent their time posting on obscure websites instead of getting a job in the field they're interest in?

If you have been interested in politics and conspiracy theories, you know exactly what type of people I'm referring to. These people would spend their time writing literal pages of their knowledge on certain topics on 4chan, X / Twitter or even Kiwifarms but would then go and complain about how their life sucks, how miserable they are, how they can't find a job, etc. If you have so much knowledge, why aren't you monetizing it? Why don't you try to get into the field in the topic you're interested in instead of spending your time arguing with other schizos on the Internet

By "meaningful" do you mean shilling their scam spiritual courses and shizo theory books? If so, then I'm afraid these guys are the lazy kind of shizo narc, and their social anxiety usually prevents them from becoming nu cult leaders and exploiting the impressionable folk for money.

Anons spiritually sucking their dicks for writing a wall of text with semi-ironic language is enough for them.

I have a large amount of valuable and esoteric knowledge regarding computing. Without going into specifics, knowing that most everyone goes about things the wrong way doesn't really help outside of the individual, actually. It can't be monetized, because it's not regarded as valuable by most people, and starting a business is a bad idea in this economy. The US doesn't have research facilities like Xerox PARC or Bell Laboratories anymore.

People don't generally like to hear that they've been doing things wrong for decades. People generally don't believe that millions of people can be wrong for decades. Most people do not seem to know the frustration of trying to force Indians to use toilets, as one example.

Stop laughing at my true and honest /x/ posts. It is  not my fault the succubus is tamed only during midnight. Skinwalkers somehow let me always survive encounter with them. Vindigo won't return my calls, it's hopeless...
Moirai are holding my string of fate amusingly in their hands and are laughing.

If I could get a job talking about a fat retarded art thief who may or may not have murdered her mom's stepdad's girlfriend's daughter, let me know how.
That's literally just making lolcow content on YouTube. There are literally hundreds of them, and they get a lot of money through this.. Making slop lolcow documentaries is very profitable

I know magic. Well only one spell.
There's a certain 6 letter word that will send certain people into a rage. It's the only spell I kow and it's not very useful
Is it tranny? Or is it the all-time classic faggot?

Bobby Fischer was a chess god and I personally think he also understood things very well about politics and conspiracies. So his reputation was destroyed and he lived like a leper, a recluse.
Kubrick was a movie making genius and I personally think he also understood things very well about the nature of power and powerful people. While he was alive he warned against being near people with genuine power. He lived like a recluse and died during the making of a movie that was about powerful people.

You don't know who is typing what message on 4chan. You might be reading something by a retard who is too autistic to make a friend one moment, someone so deep into irony or other humor that he's just trying to get a rise or laugh out of people with ridiculous ideas and then a genuine genius who discovers a new math concept in an attempt to best describe the order in which to watch animes.

You don't know whether the person sharing any type of knowledge has money, or if they're even motivated to acquire money, which reveals the complete flaw in your theory that the person sharing any type of esoteric information must also be as much of a retard as the person he's standing next to.

I do know that most forms of self-improvement and also of group action get banned on 4chan, which says something about the mods and why it's hard for useful things to spread on 4chan.

Finally, there's plenty of people with jobs, money and relationships that are miserable. Esoteric knowledge isn't an anti-depressant. Most of the time it's a depressant.

Alan Moore parlayed his magickal powers into worldwide fame, a short stack goblin and ten silver rings, why can't you?
He's been malding, for decades now, that the vast majority of people identify with Rorschach and his take on things, despite every attempt by Moore to dissuade them from the fact.

Imagine being ideologically cucked by a fictional ginger midget you created for the express purpose of being a strawman.

Whatever abracadabra shit he's been up to has clearly backfired, as the demon he sold his soul to is having fun tormenting him. Now to wait for the CP arrest.

Because for most people, it's just venting. Having a strong opinion about something doesn't mean you're going to make it your whole life. You're not trying to change the world, you just think something is bullshit and want to unload about it. It's not that deep.

I remember seeing this, and variations of this; and basically stopping myself from going down this path.

Was never too big into esoteric shit, though Ive had curiosities about Buddhism and other weird political things;

Even before that used to spend much of my time shitposting while in university in the early 2010s;

But this stuff, unless you actually monetize it, does nothing for you and you will be left with a bunch of shitty memes, in your mother's basement, with nothing to show for it. Shitposting, esoteric shitposting, can be fun to pass the time, but don't waste your life with a hobby.

I'll go autistic here, and give you a further example to show what I mean. Look at the edgiest successful youtubers of the mid 2010s. People like Filthy Frank. Anyone who stumbles (or makes some success) on internet troll spaces, forums, through shitposting, funny videos, etc should realize that internet fame, internet laughs, etc, are temporary.

Smart people use their shortfound fame, capitalize it, and move on. Maybe they get into music like Joji. Maybe they jump over to actual careers, doing social media work for a brand (a few of my smarter friends jumped into this back in the day). Maybe they wind up like PewdiePie.

The internet is temporary, but the problem is, for so many people- the hobby is their entire life, and they either fail to monetize it off the web, never try, or just waste their time away. Could be worse I guess, you could go from shitposting to trying to make a woke right wing podcast.

For the esoteric people you see on twitter- theyre attention seeking, they want validation, they spend all their time arguing about obscure tradcath, buddhist, or weird texts that noone outside of their own little circle care about. Theres literally no benefit, other than validation points in their own communities. Even then, their own communities barely understand the shit they talk about.

"Hur hur hur, but with apotheosis, we can"

Im just like, you realize 90% of this shit was ruled out by various vaticinal councils, right?

They have nothing, a natural yearing for religion, truth, or what have you has been combined with being an outsider and trying to force yourself to look at religion in a different way for fear of 'being a normie' or turning into their boomer parents;

and they are wasting their time. Unless you can monetize a hobby, you need to keep it in a place and focus on your own life. I'm not saying embrace the hustle culture, but if youre spending 9 hours of the day debating Tibetan tulpas with basement dwellers, instead of trying to get a basic life, you've fucked up. Unless the tulpa is paying the bills, stop. Break the addiction, and all that.

Whenever I see esoteric guys, I think think of this KOTH episode

They're the same archetype, and they will wind up the same.

Its like the dumbest way to waste your life. Like okay, youre cool to your 30 online friends and 'online community'

But Id take being Hank Hill, maybe getting into god when Im retired, and otherwise actually living life before then any day.

Ironically, I think thats more zen than anything the esoteric shitposters do.

I don't like calling people losers, and Im not saying 'having this esoteric' knowledge can't be cool enough for your own community I guess, but you see people like this, still living in their mother's basement, and its like- if they actually had a job, lived on their own, paid their bills, had their own place and did this on the side, maybe Id respect them a bit more. They never do though, their priorities are completely skewed because they have 'control' of their life in this one specific area, whereas in others they do not- and instead of seeking to better their actual life, the delve deeper into schizo land. That is actually loser like. Thats lolcowdom.
