generic stuff will looks generic. They have their own Calart shit artist infestation going on for a while with Moe looks. Most stuff is hardly hand drawn anymore as well as animation gets costly. Theres a few good studio likes bones that will animate a season of or two of great manga then drop it and leave inferior studios to milk the fans. End of day, the anime industry is there to make money and manga/anime are most often just the equivalent of ads to sell fucking toys to consoomer.

Like the manga and anime industry is barely the moneymaker. It makes money yes, but when you have total retard buying body pillows and fucking figurine worth hundreds of dollars its where the real money is at.

Because modern coomers only prefer samefaced moeblobs with recycled -dere behaviors, and its only going to get more blobbish and cheaper-looking from here on out.
Maybe my eyes are fucked up but since 13 I can fucking tell anime styles apart tbh...
I blame that Lucky Star and K-on crap.

Same reason all snack foods these days taste like nothing but salt and sugar:

It's cheaper, easier to make, and it's more appealing to the highly lucrative market of mindless sheeple who respond poorly to novelty anyways, so why would you bother doing anything more than changing the label and the marketing?

I'm no anime, but I've found possession of a nose on anime girls tends to be correlated with creative quality.

This is like the first time I ever thought this video would ever be relevant to something. I remember watching this the year it was posted (2009) and it generated a ton of outrage from anime fans on early YouTube days. Give it a watch.
