At least Christianity has the continuity of Jesus being the Jew "messiach". Islam just sounds like shitty fanfiction written by a teenager.

I have a simile. Muhammad started out as a raider, a bandit basically. I don’t know when he got the idea to call himself a prophet, but that wasn’t really forbidden back then, and Christianity had a very tiny presence in then Medina/Mecca. So he had a little cult grow without much competition.

Here’s the simile, Islam is like Fight Club where Muhammad is Edward Norton and Brad Pitt is Allah. Muhammad basically used an imaginary friend to create a movement that he never imagined would take off so well. He just wanted to get some respect and money. He lost control of the movement he created and decided to just ride the wave.

And if Fight Club is about pro-masculinity, then Islam is too, but only emphasizing the violent aspects and not the brotherhood and comradeship parts. It spread in the centuries after pretty damn fast because it’s hard to deny a movement where, in victory or death, you still get paradise. And in victory you get plunder and women and get to act like a caveman all while feeling superior and holy.

And that’s the long and short of how Islam spread either by the sword or the womb.

He was in a cave near Mecca, and allegedly had an encounter with a spirit that told him he was to read. Being an illiterate, he said "I can't" to which the spirit responded by fucking choking him.

He went and told his first wife and she and her heretical (Nestorian) Christian relative convinced him that it was actually the Angel Gabriel, and that this meant he was a prophet. Gabriel apparently had decided at some point in the last 500 years, to completely lose his fucking mind, and to switch from, "Be not afraid" to, "You will be afraid".

Then he tried to preach in Mecca with little success. Eventually they get sick of him and he goes to Medina and becomes a guy who people trust to settle disputes. Jews like him because he's vaguely monotheistic at this point, and the Arabs like him because he's an Arab.

At this point his preaching is relatively peaceful, he calls Christians, Jews, and Sabians "People of the Book, and seems to be under the delusion that they all believe literally the same thing. The Quran even says multiple times that Muhammad is mentioned multiple times by name in the Torah and Gospels. Anyone with even a passing familiarity with either should have just noticed a major issue.

This is eventually shattered, and he gets very angy. He goes back to Mecca and wins, offering peace, except for some people who made fun of him.

Not long after the deal is altered, to, Get busy converting, or get busy running.

Fights a bunch, kills, and enslaves a bunch.

When fighting the Jews in Khaybar, after killing all the men, and taking women and children as slaves, one woman offers to prepare him a meal.

Unsurprisingly, she poisoned him. When asked why, she said, "If you're a prophet, God wouldn't have let you eat that, and if you weren't a prophet, I'd have fucking killed you".

Needless to say, after 3 years of agony, Mo died, proving the Jewish woman was correct in her deduction that he was not a prophet.

Also, at some point he gets tricked by Satan to give the Satanic verses, which he allows the pagans to worship 3 of the their goddesses, in addition to Allah. Woops.

There's no historical evidence the pedo was even from Arabia, some argue for a Persian raider, or revisionism based on a general that defended Palestine around 300 AD.
I would argue in favor of a totally artificial legend, converted into a profit based on his claim of praying in Al-Aqsa Mosque. We have the records of the Roman conquest, and after they tore down the temple, they converted it into a landfill. As he never mentioned the stench of garbage, and sounds of the pigs rooting, it's probably bullshit.

It actually more or less instantly killed Mo's companion who was also eating with them, Mo only got a partial dose, but whatever it was, it disfigured his palate, to the point that people commented on it between his poisoning and death.

If you have a half hour to kill, you can see a guy using Islamic Hadiths to work out Muhammad's death, and who the killer is.

I want to ask, and I am being incredibly serious about this, would you consider yourself a serious Muslim? Because every time I see you argue, you just pull a Tu Quoque fallacy, and instead of defending Islam’s theology or philosophy, you more or less seem to just run defense for its sins. I don’t much care if you think you can argue all the wars were just, because in the end, you’ll always say they were, because from an Islamic perspective, how could they not be? Of course you publicly endorsed pedophilia on your twitter, because to do otherwise is to condemn Muhammad.

I am genuinely curious why you choose to believe that Muhammad was a true prophet, but would reject someone like Joseph Smith. I frankly think both appear to be obvious frauds. However, I assume you would not share the sentiment. But I want to know how you parse that and what criteria you are actually looking at.

Finally how do you get around the fact that the Quran clearly was written by someone who had no clue what the fuck they were talking about? Let me show you what I mean with three simple questions.

What are the three persons of The Trinity?

If you said God, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ, you’d be correct.

However, you would be proving the Quran wrong, as in the Quran, Allah and Jesus talk, and they describe the Trinity incorrectly, stating that it’s Allah, Jesus, and Mary.

Who was Miryam/Mary?

Speaking of Mary, why are her relatives Aaron, and Imran, the brother and father of Moses respectively. Mary was born around 1500 years after Moses’ sister Miryam, yet the Quran seems to think the two are the same person.

What does the Quran say about the previous Jewish and Christian scriptures?

Multiple times throughout the Quran, Allah (assuming the Islamic tradition that the Quran is his word) says that the scriptures that the Jew’s and Christian’s have are his word, and that those who don’t follow them are no better than disbelievers, yet the Quran obviously contradicts both.

Allah says his word can't be corrupted, so either the Torah and Gospel are good as gold, or the Quran was wrong, and you can't trust it.

Either, I trust what it says, and reject the Quran because it doesn’t align with the books it says are from God, or I have to assume the Quran is wrong, and that these books aren’t from God, and therefore the Quran isn’t either, as it just said two books were from God that Muslims claim are not.

“He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel previously, as a guide for people, and ˹also˺ revealed the Decisive Authority. Surely those who reject Allah’s revelations will suffer a severe torment. For Allah is Almighty, capable of punishment.”
