why don't these trad obsessed types online join the amish?

Because they are fat and lazy and just want to complain about how the world is against them rather than actually do anything to fix their situation. it's why so many incels try to LARP as "Catholics with trad values" while they spend all day gooning, poisoning their bodies with drugs and alcohol, and being jealous of others success, all of which are sins BTW.

Anyways, sorry for the mini rant, I'm not religious, I just hate hypocrites that use religion and "trad values" as an excuse to judge others.

I see this on here with religious kiwis and I don't think god would appreciate what goes on in edgy reddit. There's gotta be something that's against lolcow culture in the bible.

They don't know German. Also, having someone drive you around can be a real pain in the ass. Also, also, they have no conviction.
They'd need to learn high and low german, Aka Pennsylvania Dutch. English is only for speaking to outsiders.

Not to mention that they have church in a different and stricter way. Plus the dress code. Plus the entire shunning thing.

They'd give up so fast just like their idol ER.

Amish / Mennonite even Mormon and polygamy really sucks when you're a male at the bottom rung and your englischer ass is staying there for good.

Harem is always better for commoner, but top cleric in neighborhood is disproportionately more supreme than Deacon. Also kebab but no pork no booze. Honor kills tho.

There are. Multiple verses, in fact.
Proverbs 11:13: "A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret".
Proverbs 16:28: "A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends".

Proverbs 20:19: "A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much".

2 Corinthians 12:20: Paul expresses concern about the Corinthian church's behavior, highlighting harmful attitudes and actions like gossip.

1 Timothy 5:13: "They learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not".

Psalm 141:3: "Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips".

Leviticus 19:16: "You shall not go around as a gossip among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor [with slander or false testimony]; I am the LORD".

Romans 1:29: God places gossip amongst a catalogue of sins which characterise those who are under God's wrath and are 'worthy of death'.

Ephesians 4:29: "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear".
