Society is currently on a roll when it comes to forcing through linguistic changes in the name of supposed inclusivity. Yet, one very clear and obvious exception remains — the days of the week.
They’re named after gods, but nobody can quite decide which ones. The Romans went with a mixture of planets from the solar system, while some others went with characters from Norse mythology like Odin and Thor.
Shouldn’t we be asking ourselves:
In all seriousness, why hasn’t anyone in the current “mainstream” pushed for this yet?

- Who still believes in these mythical skydaddies? Anyone?
- What makes their myths more important than others?
- Why in the frigg do we let their names live on rent free?
- Do named days even make sense with modern calendaring?
In all seriousness, why hasn’t anyone in the current “mainstream” pushed for this yet?
