After Redguard flopped and Bethesda was about to go bankrupt, Todd Howard basically handed the Elder Scrolls lore to a writer with a Comparative Religions background and told him to do whatever he wanted with it, and by his own account he spent weeks rewriting the lore in the vein eastern religions and binge drinking, and one of the things that came of that is that the Orc creation myth is that they got eaten and shit out by a god and that's why they're green and nobody likes them, and that's the best encapsulation of south asian worldview I'm aware of.
