Why is the Russian/Ukraine conflict STILL spearated in 2 threads?

I get it, at first, it was chaotic.

People were invested, spregs were sperging, etc etc. Complaints left and right. Bitching, moaning, etc.

But the war has pretty much died down? Nobody cares anymore. Only retards are left and they formed their two little echo chambers boosting eachother up. And mods be powertripping faggots who take their jobs waaay to seriously.

Let's face it, nobody cares about the Ru/Uk war. People stopped caring. Let slavs kill other slavs. Just merge the two threads together and have the only faggots that are still invested fight eachother out. Maybe people who are not completely retarded will see the light and stop giving a shit.

Anyway my point is, what's the reason these two threads are still separate? Only the most obnoxious faggots stroking their cocks post in those threads "nyyyeess russia advanced an inch, nyesss ukraine blew up a bridge". There's no discussion to be had unless you're a cocksucker of one side or the other.

I think the threads should stay divided since it's a divisive topic where people are too emotionally engaged to be respectful to the opposite side. It's the same as dems/trump threads or isreal/palestine topics. Too inflammatory. Also debates about on-going conflict are absolutely retarded because it just results in both sides constantly proclaiming victory over whatever title the MSM generates for clicks.
