Why must the dog chase the cat?

Dogs often chase cats due to their natural hunting instincts and prey drive. This instinct is heightened when a cat runs, as it triggers the dog's urge to pursue and potentially capture its "prey". Some dog breeds are more prone to this behavior due to selective breeding for hunting or herding.
